Insight Marine Services Pte Ltd (IMS) was set up as a specialised marine arm of its associate company, Insight Adjusters and Surveyors Pte Ltd (IAS), a market leader and a home-grown loss adjusting outfit, committed towards providing a "one-stop" service, serving the needs and demands of the insurance industry.

Incorporated in 1992 with 2 surveyors, it has grown rapidly and established a niche in the insurance and shipping market, providing a wide spectrum of surveying and marine consultancy services to marine underwriters, maritime transporters, forwarders, etc. both locally and internationally.

Today, Insight Marine Services prides itself in having the largest marine division for a loss adjusting company.  It employs multi-disciplinary specialist staff which comprise Master Mariners, Marine Engineers, Cargo Surveyors, Claims and Recovery Consultants, Marine Insurance and Legal Consultants and other professionals, all of whom are ready to respond promptly and professionally to any requirement of its clients.

Insight Marine Services is constantly looking towards serving the growing needs and demands of its diversity of clients.  In the early part of 1997, an Airport Office was established and a surveyor based there, to provide clients with the ability to attend a survey at the Air Cargo Terminals at very short notice.

The company is also constantly developing new and reliable contacts in the major ports in the Asia Pacific region so as to deal with overseas assignments economically and efficiently.  Currently, it has established associates in Vietnam, Myanmar, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Taiwan, Fiji and its neighbouring islands and Hong Kong.  The network of associates is continuing to grow and become more comprehensive in tandem with the growing needs of the industry.

Insight Marine Services has the capability to undertake overseas enquiries and assignments on behalf of its clients and aims towards becoming an international company, providing marine services to companies worldwide.
