Admission Cost: The Event shall cost £35 per person for the event, including bed and full breakfast on Sunday Morning. This includes admittance to ALL events during Saturday, plus food between 5 and 7pm. Those not wishing accommodation pay £15 per person for the Event. This includes food between 5 and 7pm. |

Notes: The venue is on the A30, 19 miles from Central London, and one mile south of the town of Egham, which is just off the M25 London Orbital (junction 13). The University is 8 miles from Heathrow Airport, and can also be easily reached by Bus and Rail which run frequent services. The University is a Beautiful Red Sandstone Victorian Building of amazing beauty, and is set in lush green surroundings. The venue is a 900 capacity Students Union Hall, and we have negotiated accommodation for those who wish to stay on the site of the Convention (this is a highly recommended option). The accommodation is basic, in that it is Student accommodation, but all rooms are clean and have bed linen. A Hearty Breakfast has been included in the accommodation price.
The days events are provisionally planned to be as follows :
- Event kicks off at 11 am. Quiz to find the Big Country mastermind. 10
questions, everyone can enter. After checking people's answers all those who got 10/10 or approximately the Top 10 people with the most correct answers then sit in "mastermind" chair, in front of everyone and answer 20 questions in 3 minutes each. Winner gets a groovy prize presented by band.
- 2pm Band then take the stage for a question and answer session with the fans. Followed by your chance to meet the Band and signing session.
- 5-7pm Break for Food, which is included in ticket price. Will be along the lines of Burgers, Chips, Pizza Slices, etc.
- 7pm doors open - New Album Playback
- 8 to 9pm Videos
- 9pm Band plays live electric set
- 11pm onwards.... Disco until 2am and the chance to eat, drink and be merry through the night
We plan to have raffles with some cool prizes, and several other surprises throughout the day. Please also state if you require Vegetarian alternative. It would be appreciated if you could confirm your Booking if possible by Friday 3rd September. We apologize for the short notice for this event, but are sure you shall all wish to be in attendance at the Big Country Convention on Saturday 18th September, which shall be the Only Live Big Country Show prior to the release of the new album Driving To Damascus. |
