The first five pages are printed on red toned paper to show the tragedy of last issue. Silver Chime falls backwards into Gold Dragon's arms after Ancestor tore out the child she was carrying. Not seeming to care in the least, Ancestor just turns and walks away. Gold Dragon drops to his knees and whispers Chime's name while the blood pours from her body. Although still clinging to life there is nothing that can be done to save Chime, at this point it's only a matter of time. Dragon tells her not to be afraid. As death grabs hold she begins to get very cold and pleads with Gold Dragon not to leave her side. Silver Chimes utters her final words, 'I didn't ask to die'. He holds her in his arms and cries as her passes on. Barbarian arrives and demands to know who killed Silver Chime. Gold Dragon tells him and Barbarian vows to kill Ancestor. Barbarian charges up to the top of a cliff and pounds the ground in anger, shattering the stone for yards around himself.

Back at the temple, Sky Crane is praying before an idol of Buddha when Old Supreme wanders up behind him. They talk for a while but Sky Crane is still furious over the incident with Ancestor so Old Supreme decides to leave by jumping out a window. Barbarian was below and when he sees Old Supreme leaping towards him he unleashes a palm shot the knocks Old Supreme backwards to the top of the building. He decides to flee on the rooftops but from out of no where his son The Supreme blocks his path. Tiger Wong and Gold Dragon arrive leaving no where for Old Supreme to escape. Lone Kwoon Tin arrives with Chan Ou Wan, Sky Crane shows up with Guy, who is holding the body of Silver Chime. The rooftop is getting rather crowded. They all demand to know where Ancestor is.

Ancestor is off in his cave cooking the herbs he stole in a little pot. He glances at his gold statue and then sits down with the golden book. He takes Silver Chime's fetus (editor - yuck) and seems to be drawing the spirit of the unborn child out as a sort of smokey mist. The golden buddha statue gazes on with a stern, accusing look while Ancestor breaths deep, inhaling the smoke. It seems to be having an invigorating power.

Red Sect head and the oriental heroes are left to mourn the loss of Silver Chime. Gold Dragon and Barbarian, however, intend to settle the score with Ancestor. Pterosaur helps Barbarian with his battle armor, then Gold Dragon and all the Red Sect member don white headbands.

Meanwhile, Ancestor has built a platform of wood and placed golden statue upon it. He takes a torch and lights the pyre on fire.

Cloudy Crane seems more obsessed with recovering the Golden Buddha than over the murder of Silver Chime. He orders Old Supreme to lead them to Ancestor to which Old Supreme is more than happy to comply. He tells them that Ancestor is either at the western face of the mountain at the cliff edge or in his cave on the eastern face of the mountain. Cloudy Crane orders a pair of his monks to investigate the cliff while everyone else checks out the cave. When they arrive at the cave Barbarian yells at Ancestor to come out but there's no response from within. The Supreme has Chan and Lone Kwoon Tin guard the cave entrance well the rest examine the interior. The cave is deserted but Cloudy Crane finds a golden colored robe. 'The Golden Buddha must have been here.', he tells everyone. They decide that it's time to check out the mountains western face. As everyone exits, The Supreme begins accusing his father of leading them on a wild goose chase. "You led us here on purpose to give Ancestor the opportunity to escape". Old Supreme patience has run out and he slaps his son across the face. This insult is too much for The Supreme, he begins to raise his inner power. Cloudy Crane tries to persuade the two to stop but instead they forcefully clash forearms. 'Stay out of this Cloudy Crane, this is a family matter!', shouts Old Supreme. Guy pleads with the Global Cult heads to listen to Cloudy Crane. Tiger turns and says, 'Forget about reasoning with them Guy, let's go!. They all rush off to find Ancestor except The Supreme and Old Supreme who are wrapped up in a little father son squable. The Supreme yells out that he needs to tech his son a lesson and then he will meet up with them. Obviously if Red Sect and the Oriental Heroes are to find Ancestor they will have to do it without the help of Global Cult. They rush towards the mountains western face and spot smoke coming from a cliff. Ancestor has build a funeral pyre and placed the Golden Buddha's body within the flames. Already the flesh has burned from the Golden Buddha leaving only his skeleton. Ancestor is busy polishing his sword, behind him lays the bodies of the two monks that Cloudy Crane sent to investigate. A low humming sound eminates from the blade as it anticipates drinking more blood. This would certainly be strong evidence that Energy Soldier is actually a conscious being. As our heroes approach, Ancestor dumps the bodies of the two monks off the cliff where they land at the feet of the horrified Cloudy Crane and Guy. 'Ancestor's laughing!', shouts Tiger Wong and indeed he is. Ancestor looks down at all the fighters but only Tiger Wong catches his attention. 'Very Good, says Ancestor. 'We haven't played in a while, come right up'.

Barbarian calls for the attack but it's Ancestor who strikes first. Summoning his weapon, Energy Soldier, Ancestor begins slaughtering the monks from a distance. The sword drives into the ground grazing Tiger's calf and Barbarian's shoulder. Gold Dragon is then nailed in the back by Energy Soldier and sent flying. It's a testimony to the power of his Golden Armor kung fu that he wasn't skewered. Ancestor continues to slaughter the monks until Barbarian slams Energy Soldier with his own huge blade. Energy Soldier is knocked to the ground while Barbarian's weapon is completely shattered. While Energy Soldier is down Tiger Wong takes the opportunity to kick it into the ground. Suddenly something strange begins to happen. The Golden Buddha that Ancestor was burning emits a glowing globe of light that ascends into the sky. Above the fighters the sphere emits rainbow like rays of energy. Ancestor reaches into the smoke and flames of the fire and seems to be energized, his body begins to de-age, the lines on his face smooth and his hair turns from white to blond. Ancestor's full power is reborn.
