As the issues move farther and farther back the style of art becomes more cartoony and lighthearted in appearance. The action and violence however remains just as intense. If anything there is in fact a lot more fighting in the earlier issues.

Kung Fu Special #1 gave a very brief overview of the story that occured before the U.S. version came out. Expect to see a whole different cast of characters. The main villian that the Oriental Heroes are fighting against is Firey God along with his cast of characters. There is a second group however lead by Skeleton Secretary. The Oriental Heroes tend to work there way through groups of villians. As Firey God's reign comes to an end Skeleton Secretary's is just beginning. It's a sort of inadvertant passing of the torch. Some familiar faces appear in these old comics including Chan Ou Wan, Cannon Striker, Poison Dame and others. The Oriental Heroes have, as always, Tiger Wong and Gold Dragon as well as the still living Dragon Wong. Oddly enough Guy and his father are working for Firey God. I take it that they will eventually repent after all Guy is one of the closest friends that the Tiger and Dragon have.
