...Dear Diary... new: STEMA FAIR 2005: Licht Band Rocks! [CLOSED]

Meet NORTH (the new pop act from Australia) in Sheraton Hotel, Jakarta: NEW YEAR 2005.
Actually I didn't know anything if NORTH came to Jakarta for promo tour. From 31st December until 2nd January my family spent New Year's time at Sheraton Hotel, Jakarta. My dad got this special package from the hotel. On the new year's day, January 1st, me and my family went out for dinner, at around 08.30pm. When we were walking to the lobby, we saw that there're few girls hanging out with four guys. They took pictures and on the table there're many colorful things (like what the fans use to bring to their idols). When we got closer to them, finally we figured out that they're NORTH. Oh, I almost didn't recognize them! They're not so popular here but I have their album. So, it's really a coincidence that we met the guys from NORTH, 4 males group from Australia. There're no officials or securities, so it's really nice and we could get together with the guys easily. They're friendly. Fortunately I brought the digicam so me and my sister asked the guys to take pictures together. Those are the results! :-) I also got the chance to talk with them a little bit, asking where they did promo tour, how long they've been in Jakarta, and when they would go back home. Then I wished them all success and goodluck. After that me and my family went for dinner. On the way, my brother and my dad told me that they met the guys in fitness center! Even my dad was in the lift with one of them. They both really didn't know if they're popstars from Aussie. :-)

PICTURE FREAKS

Today I woke up at 8.30 am. Whoa... actually I still wanted to go to sleep but it's already late for me to clean up the house. My mom had meeting with her colleagues from Catholic Women Organization at 09.30 am and her colleague would pick her up at 09.00 am. After I woke up, washed my face, and had drink, I prepared my weapons: broom, napkins, and mop. My tasks were clean the rooms, sweep and mop the floors. My sister's tasks were clean the dishes and clean the music room. My father was busy with his work. On the table there're several working papers and laptop. He kept his eyes looking to the laptop. My brother washed the car and got in charge with the garage. At 09.00 am my mom went to the meeting. At 10.00 am all our houseworks were done. CLEAN! :-) I rushed to the bathroom to take shower before my sister got in the bathroom first. Hehehe... :-) After I took a shower my father started to cook the lunch for us. Hmm...
At around 10.30 am the friends of my sister and my brother came. They came for band rehearsal. My sister and brother were in a band called "Litch Band". They formed this band last month to join a competition last 23rd December and also to join the band performances in my sister's school. On 30 January they will perform on stage with other bands from other schools in the school event called "STEMA FAIR" (held annualy). "Litch Band" consists of my sister Nia (vocalist), my brother Simon (bassist), Leo (vocalist), Prisca (keyboardist), Surya (guitarist), William (guitarist), and Lucas (drummer), plus Fery (additional vocalist). Ohhh... they're so loud but it's really nice seeing those youngsters have fun and enjoy their interest together. :-)
Then around 12 pm my bestfriend, Anggi, called me and asked whether I would be at home today. I told her that I was at home and she asked me to go around our place, BSD, and took some pictures of the areas. She would send those pictures to her friend, Alessandro. "Hey, that's a great idea! Let's go. Come to my house in 30 minutes then! I'll be ready and we'll stroll the cool spots!" I told her directly and she was really happy. ;-) Then she came to my house and we started our journey. We went around by bike. Because my bike was broken, so I asked Leo if I could ride his bike and he let me use his bike. Hurray, thanks Leo!
First we stopped at the bus stop. It's the official BSD City shuttle bus. We took some pictures there. Then we went to Anggi's house. There her father was doing his work and her sister, Tya, was watching tv. Anggi took some pictures of her house, the neighborhood, she and her sister, and her father. :-)
Next we went to our high-school, Saint Ursula Catholic School. Anggi took pictures again in front of the school gate, the school football field, and the scenery of the coconut trees which surround the school. Whoa... we really miss our school so much. It's really a sweet memory for me cause I've spent schooling there for 6 years.
Last spot was the church, Saint Monika Catholic Church. It's located across the school and still inside the school area. Anggi only took two pictures, the view of the church and the church bell.
Phew!!! The weather was so hot. It's already 2.45 pm. On the way home, suddenly I met my mom! Hihihihi... she was in the car with her colleagues. And she was a bit surprised to meet me cause me and Anggi looked like expedition-team. ;-) Hehehe... Then we went to a small shop to have coconut drinks. Ahh... it's really fresh and nice! We checked the pictures again and had talks. At about 3.10 pm we went back home. Anggi went back by public transportation and I went home by bike.

"Together Christmas"

Phwoaaa... I woke up at 5.30am. I was so sleepy but I had to wake up and seized the day with smile cause today would be a fine day to experience. Today was my very last day in german course for this semester. Huhuhu... ;'-( I'll miss my classmates so much! Ich vermisse euch alle... That's why I've prepared my digicam. After having breakfast, I went to the bus stop at 06.45am. At 08.05am I arrived. I was 5 minutes late but the lesson hadn't started yet. I was a bit disappointed when I saw that only 5 people in the class. I was hoping that all my classmates would come, so that the picture would be complete. After the first break, all my classmates come, although there're about 2-3 people couldn't come. It was a very nice lesson and we really enjoyed the time. We had our last exam and I could do the exam well. :-) At 1.30pm we finished the class and we took the pictures together (you can see the picture in "Dedicated To" page). I also took some pictures with my other mates in german course. After that I was in a rush to the bus stop because I must be at home at around 3.30pm. Thank God, I was not late to get the bus at 2pm. I arrived home at 3.30pm and I took a shower. Then I had snack and prepared the songs to play. At 5pm I played piano for the event that's held by neighborhood. It was christmas celebration. I took part as the pianist. My sister took part as the singer with her youth community. The celebration took place in one of our neighbor's house. I played the songs for the kids and the youth. The kids sang 3 christmas songs: Away In A Manger, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, and Joy To The World. For the youth, I played the song "The Prayer" for the duet of my sister Nia and her partner Leo. For the whole celebration, I played the some christmas songs and the last ones, We Wish You A Merry Christmas. In this celebration, we also had Santa Claus!!! Hehehe... Who is that Santa? Hmmm... one of the youth member became Santa. He is Adi. He was chosen to be Santa cause he got potential to be Santa and he was really happy to take this role. He practiced Santa's moves and laughs and he was so great! :-) The kids didn't know if Santa was Adi. Hohoho... Santa came to give the kids christmas presents. One by one Santa called the kids names and they came to sit with Santa. Hihihi... the kids were very funny. There're several of them scared of Santa. :-) After finish with the christmas presents, we had dinner. Hmm... the dinner was so delicious. We had ice creams as the dessert. Hmm... yum yum yum...
At 07.30pm we got back home. I'm very happy that I could get the chance to play in this together celebration. It was really a fine day. We celebrated christmas together between neighbors, we sang and prayed, we got Santa giving presents for the kids,... Whoa... I really can't wait for Christmas Eve!!! :-)
Well... Merry Christmas everyone!

"Glenn Fredly"

This morning, I woke up at 6 am then took a shower. After having my breakfast, I practiced the songs I’d play for the morning mass. At 7.25 am I went with my parents and my bro to the church. There I met the choir and my partner (I haven’t told you yet that for this mass, I had a partner who also got part in playing the songs. I just knew about my partner when I practiced last Wednesday night). Oh yeah, the members of the choir is the youth community in my church. So, some of them are high-school and university students and some are the workers. At 8 am the mass began. Yeahoo… I played my part (the opening song!) and I did it successfully. I was so so so happy. ;-) At about 9.25 am the mass was over. I was so glad cause me and my partner could play the songs well and we made a good job for that. The choir was also satisfied. Actually, my partner will soon be signing off from her position as the organist for the youth community. That’s why, soon I’ll replace her position! ;-) Hurray… ;-D I went home with my parents. My bro used the car to go to my sister’s school. That’s why, me and my parents went home on foot.

Phew!!! The sun was so hot! It’s about 30 degrees! The location between the church and our home is a bit far, about 20 minutes on foot. But that’s okay cause we enjoyed walking together and even we could see the environment around!
After arriving home, I cleaned the house. At about 10.20 am, me and my parents went (once again, on foot!) to my sister’s high-school. There, the school held a art-stage (that’s what we call). “Art-stage” is like a concert which is held by senior high-school. The purposes of this event is to gain the students’ creativities and their talents and stuffs. And they also can meet other high-school students to meet & greet or to exchange minds or to get to know each other’s schools better. There’re singing, dancing, door-prize, … everything the youngsters want! ;-) There’s big stage for the performances for the bands and dances. And to enter this event, of course we must buy the ticket. ;-) Oh yea, most popular high-schools welcome celebrities to perform on stage! Like my sister’s school (actually, her school isn’t yet popular cause it’s still new built and there’re still no alumnis), they had a popular singer live on stage!!! Whoa… and I’ve been waiting for that singer! Hehehe… ;-)

Oh yea, my sister is also one of the committees of the event and she wore the shirt which’s provided by the sponsors. She’s cool! ;-) When I arrived there, there’s break-dance session! Whoa… those guys are really cool! I might even think (hehehe…), “wish I were 15 or 16 year old…” Hehehe… well, those high-school guys who did the break-dance are quite cool (not their looks, but their dances and their styles… they did those kinds of free styles and stuffs!). After their performance, came the girl-dance session and high-school bands performances on stage. Wow… those bands are also cool! I might think, “those youngsters are really full of creativity and energy! They rock!...” … ;-)
Actually, I really looked forward the singer! The singer’s name is Glenn Fredly. He’s popular singer here in Indonesia. I like his songs. He’s one of my Indonesian’s favourite singers! According to plan, my sister told me that he would perform on stage at 11 am, but… but… but… but… guess whut?!?! He came on stage at 4 pm! ;-)

But… but… but… wait!?!?! ;-) ;-) ;-) I was soooooo happy cause I got the chance to meet him and took picture with him and even talked with him although only about 10 seconds! Hehehe… and he also gave me hand-shake and little kiss. Really sweet! ;-) It’s all becos of my sister! Hehehe… she’s the committee and she had full access to the artist, the stage, the gate, … everything! ;-) She took the digicam to the dress-room, where the singer was there, waiting for his turn to perform. Then she showed me the pic of her and the singer. Ohh… I was jealous and wanted to take picture with him too! And then YES... I went to the dress-room with my sister and there... whoa… I could see his look closely! My hear beat fast when the crew were everywhere and uhm… hehehe… I must say, the crews are also cute! Hahaha… ;-D And then, I took pic with Glenn. He’s really nice and other crews and his band members made jokes on me. And then I had a little talk with Glenn and the hand-shake.

It’s really nice and I was really satisfied with the pic although my hair was a bit messy and I was quite sweating after about 3 hours kept jamming on those high-school bands and seeing around the stands. Huahaha… I also had nice talks with some of high-school students there! It’s crazy when we’re near on stage and danced following the music. Most bands sang those rock or punkrock songs, like the songs by Blink 182, Creed, Evanescence, Limp Bizkit, … Oh yeah, I even forgot to have lunch! I really enjoyed my time there! I feel like I was teen!!! ;-) After that, Glenn was on stage! I was at the front!!! He’s really communicative! All the students were also nice that they didn’t do riot or any crowds. We followed the music and the songs he sang. We also danced and kept on jamming! Glenn sang about 6 songs. The last song is most people’s favorite song. The title of the song is “Januari” (or in English, January). I’ve been waiting for him to sing that song too! Ohh… it’s really sweet! I took his pic and the movie clip of his performance on stage with the digicam. Unfortunately, there’s the time limits so that I couldn’t record longer clips. ;-(

Phew!!! I must say, I’ve really had a good time today that I could feel like a high-school girl again! ;-) Oh yea, I also won a quiz! The question’s related to the sponsors and I could answer it! Hurray… ;-)
Oh yea oh yea, one of the sponsor is Starbucks Coffee!!! I was so surprised cause I met my high-school mate at the Starbucks Coffee stand! She’s having training in Starbucks Coffee and that time she’s in charge in this event in my sister’s school. Actually, we got the coupon (first drink) for the coffee, but because it’s been about 3 years we haven’t seen each other and we had a nice talk again together, whoa… guess what? Hehehe… I got some more FREE cups of coffee!!! Huahaha... it’s my luck then! ;-)

Oh yea, I was also sooo surprised when my sister suddenly joined the break-dance boys. When those boys did their free styles (following the music that a hardcore band played), suddenly my sister joined those boys and oh my God… oh my God… (even my parents were very surprised about this!)… she was in the middle of those boys and showed her free style! She’s cool! And those boys gave her yells like “Yeahoo!!! Rock gurl!! Rock gurl!!! Yeah… hoo…” and she also danced with those boys. It’s really surprising cause there’re no gurls joining the boys, only her!!! Even those gurls-dancers didn’t join the dance. And my sister did her “surprising” part very well. Those boys greeted her and told her that was a cool style she’s done. ;-)

Hehehe… my sister! ;-)

Christmas 2003

I started my Christmas preparation last 22th December. That day was my very last day in dormitory. In the morning I went to the mal to shop some presents. Oh my God… I spent almost 2 hours in this gift shop that finally I just bought 2 kinds of gifts. Then I bought some sweets and this little blackforest cake (this one is my favorite cake for all occasions!!!), and then I went back to dormitory and studied my lectures cause the next day was my very last final test, “International Finance”. It’s not very hard for me to study again cause the previous day I’ve read it at home, so I just had to write some important notes and practiced some questions. Then at night all best friends gathered in my room. We had a little Christmas feast together. We prayed, played Christmas songs, sang along, and yea… ate blackforest!! At about 11pm we ended the feast cause we didn’t wanna stay up late cause the next day we had to get up early in the morning again. ;-) Oohh… it’s really a very nice feast cause we had a good time together between friends and the atmosphere was really beautiful (the rain came and the weather was so friendly). We held hand in hand and ooh… I love our togetherness. I love the friendship. We also prayed for each other, for our family, … and we also had a nice talk and sharing, like our new year’s resolutions. It’s really nice and so beautiful. That’s a little bit my experience, celebrating Christmas with my best friends in dorm.

The next day was 23th December. I had final test at 8 until 10 am. That’s our very last time in campus before we meet again next semester, so I spent in campus until about 12 pm. we exchanged Christmas cards. One best friend brought these chocolate bars. Whoa… and we wished each other Christmas-New Year. Then I went home with a friend. That was my second time being in her car. Actually I don’t really like the way she drives, umm… ;-P Well, she’s a little bit tomboy, so yeah you know… I bounced a lot in her car. Hehehe… It’s raining that time and there’s a little bit traffic jam. We had a nice talk and I played this recorded cassette of my sister’s band. Hahaha… she’s very curious of playing guitar and she asked me to teach her how to play the guitar. Well, she should ask my sister then!!! ;-)

The next day was 24th December, Christmas Eve. My parents woke us up at 6 am cause we’d go to our grandma’s (my dad’s mom) graveyard and we prayed there. Then at 10 am me and my sister went to this hairdresser to have new hair-treatment while my mom had Christmas shopping and my dad and my bro went to car-wash. We had holy mass in the church at 9 -11 pm. Whoa… I love the atmosphere… so silent, so holy, and … ooh… the togetherness. The choir sang the songs well but I wasn’t that satisfied by the organist (the organ player). Well, the organist played a little bit bad and I was hoping that it was me who played those songs… ;-( I really wish that next Christmas I’ll be the organist… (Ahha!!! That’s one of my new year’s resolutions!). After the mass I met my best friends and we wished each other Christmas and exchanged gifts. Then we went back home. My mom had prepared this cake and blackforest cake (again!!!) and my dad lighted our living room with this shiny electric Christmas ornaments which were hung on the wall. Then we had talks, sharings, prayed together, and ooh… we hugged each other and spent the whole night watching TV, seeing those lights, then… went back to sleep. ;-)

The next day was 25th December, Merry Christmas!!!. We woke up a bit late that time, at 8.30 am. Then I immediately cleaned up the house cause that day was our day visiting our grandparents (my mom’s parents). Oohh… the weather was not that friendly… heavy rain came. It’s really a nice time in my grandparent’s house. As usual, it’s family gathering. There’re my aunts, uncles, cousins, … We had talks, sharings, … We went back home in the evening and we started to prepare our clothes for the next day’s trip.

Before I went to the next day’s trip, guess what I got for Christmas?!?! ;-D Yeah… I got this cute photo frame, cute pencil cases, cute slippers (with monkey doll on it), Clay Aiken CD (oh my God… it hasn’t released yet in Indonesia and my best friend bought it for me in Singapore), cute 24 CDs-holder (the shape of hamburger… love it!), and the rest… sweet kisses, warm huggies, tender loving smiles, priceless togetherness…

Oh… I love to spend this day with my family. That’s the most wonderful gift I will always have. ;-) ...

Oh Gosh... seprei gue belom ketemu juga! ;'-( Mampus deh, nyokap bisa muarah guede! Huhuhu... ;'-( Tuhan, moga-moga sepreinya ketemu. Ich bin sehr dumm! Kenapa yah gue bisa lupa kalo ada seprei biru itu?!?! Moga-moga ga ilang. Gue YAKIN kok, PASTI ketemu. ;-)
Uwa.. uwa.. uwa.. bentar lagi UAS! Duh, gue agak gak ngerti nih soal DDMK en DDA2! (Ya ampun Indy, kemana aje loe!)... Duh duh duh, gue HARUS KERJA BAKTI neh pas nanti libur 2 hari.
;-P Huehehe ...
Hari ini gue fotokopi materi buanyak banget! Rp. 9.500 buat SHI. Gue ngerasa kalo gue agak bandel semester ini. Sebenernya sih, semua mata kuliah itu kalo diikutin dengan baik en kita rajin latihan, PASTI BISA! Dasar gue-nya aja yang bandel en agak males-malesan.
God, help me please! Pokoknya semester 5 nanti, gue mau ambil mata kuliah yang sesuai ama yang gue pengen. Gue dah kapok ngikut-ngikut. Gue mau mandiri aja. Gapapa kalo cuma gue sendiri doank. cu-x aja. ;-) Bisa dibilang, gue sebel banget sama hitung-hitungan. Makanya, gue ambil MSDM untuk penjurusan. Pengen seh ke Finance, Marketing, tapi gue rasa gue ga bakat kesitu. Sekarang gue mesti FOLLOW MY HEART! God, please always be there for me and lead me to the best way!
Sekarang GOOD NEWS! ;-) Wuah... hari ini gue "MERAH" sekali! Blus merah, rok merah, sepatu merah (pinjem Putri, temen kos gue. Hehehe...)... that's it. Tapi sayang, tas coklat, sapu tangan coklat, jam tangan biru, gelang biru. Eh... ketinggalan, gue juga pake iket rambut merah deh. Hehehe... Lucu deh, gue jadi "center of attention" gitu. Dari gue pake tuh baju, gue udah ngerasa, duh... pasti 'cling' banget neh, karena emang "reddish" abish. ;-P
Kejadian ini muncul pas gue memasuki ruangan kelas SHI. Oh my God, I was late... and you know whut? All of the eyes looked at me! As always, I gave them smile and I heard they whispered to each other. "Wuah, Indy, merah merah merah merah!" They smiled, laughed, ... en pas gue duduk, temen-temen gank gue itu pada ketawa-tawa, senyam-senyum, bilang lucu banget.
