Marion is an orphan, raised
in the East End. She had 5 brothers (two died) and 1 sister, and
has lost contact with all, except her brother Jim.
When Marion was 12, she was sent to school, and when she was 16,
she was taken into the Hunter family home in London to be a maid
to their daughter, Eleanor. There Marion
remained until the night of October 2nd, 1894, when her employers
were killed by the Flying Circus.
Then she joined the Baker Street Six. Marion is very close to few people, but trusts the Chosen Ones with her life. She was developing a relationship with Quentin Andrews as the Six travelled along, but due to unfortunate circumstances (namely, his death) the relationship is finished.
Psychologically, Marion has
a clever, quick, analytical mind, but she suffers with a great
deal of self-consciousness, lack of confidence, and much aloneness
because of misunderstandings. Her idealistic and sensitive nature
gives her a deep appreciation for the finer things of life and
a strong desire to be of service to humanity. There are times
when she experiences inner turbulence at her inability to say
what she means. It is far easier for her to express her deeper
thoughts and feelings through writing than verbally. She find
pleasure in literature, in poetry, (namely,
Byron and Keats) and will turn to them when she feels she has
been misunderstood. Because her feelings run deep, she must guard
against the ups and downs, being very inspired one minute, then
moody, reserved, and depressed the next. Her reactions to people
vary according to how she feels. She tend to be secretive and
noncommittal about private matters, yet at times she will talk
effusively in order to hide her self-consciousness or to lead
others away from personal subjects. She is inspired by encouragement
from others, yet suspicious of their intent. She craves affection
but seldom finds anyone who understands her nature (this is from
