Your army may include Kaigar, the Thunderbolt as an independent character or as the army's general, in which case he replaces the general in the army list section.

Kaigar is the most evil of Dark Elves, every bit of pain he inflicts on others is a lifetime's pleasure, and every bit of pain that is inflicted on him is a lifetime's revenge. He loves war, and he is only ever doing one of two things, either recruiting (using questionable methods) or fighting. He will fight anyone he can fight, but, as with all Dark Elves, the ones he loves to fight most are High Elves, the hated enemies of the Dark Elves. Many of his strikes which others have called suicidal have resulted in huge damage to the High Elf kingdoms of Ulthlan. But even today after such success he is not satisfied and dreams one day of totally wiping out all High Elves.

Kaigar is the master of the Lighting Attack, which he has mastered and allows him to charge at unsuspecting enemies with phenomenal speed. His charges are known and feared across the entire Old World, and few ever escape them. Using this Lightning Attack tactic he has defeated many of his mightiest enemies including Prince Kaltor of Caledor and the much rejoiced Bretonnian Duke Gretius. Many others are to follow the same tragic way if Kaigar gets what he wants.

WEAPONS/ARMOUR: The Gore Swords (two of them), heavy armour, a shield.

MAGIC ITEMS: Kaigar carries the Gore Swords and may chose 2 more magic items from the Warhammer Magic Supplement.

MOUNTS: Kaigar always rides a Cold One.

Fear

Cold Ones are scary monsters and so cause Fear - see the Warhammer Rulebook for details.

Stupidity

Cold Ones suffer from Stupidity until they've faught a round of hand-to-hand combat. The Stupidity test is taken using Kaigar's Ld value.

Save

Cold Ones are large, thick-skinned and very difficult to kill. This means they confer a +2 save bonus to their rider, rather than the normal +1 - see the Dark Elf Army List for further details.

Hate High Elves

All Dark Elves, including Kaigar, Hate all High Elves, and will often fight to the death rather than run away. Kaigar is affected by Hatred when he fights High Elves - see the Warhammer Rulebook for further details of Hatred.

Gore Swords

The Gore Swords are two enchanted swords dipped in the blood of daemons. Any mortal thing struck by the sword is incinerated as the sword eats away at their very soul. The Gore Swords give +2 attacks (rather than the normal +1 for two weapons) and cause D3 wounds. Note they are only effective against mortal targets ie. not daemons or Undead.

Lightning Attack

Kaigar is master of the Lighting Attack, and when he charges he, and any unit he may be with, moves an additional D6".
