| | After my first army of
high elves, I wanted an army that would look
completely different to my elves. I already had a
few skeleton warriors (as something for my elves
to shoot at) so I decided to start an Undead army
(this was before Vampire Counts wa released, so I
starrted using the Undead army book)

| | | |
| | I
started my army late in 1997, when the Undead
army still existed (it has since been broken into
the Vampire Counts and the Tomb Kings of Khemri.)
It started with a large unit of skeletons and a
chariot. I then expanded it with a Necromancer
lord as my General and some more skletons (until
the regiment was released, zombies were too
expensive money wise to buy.) I then got another
chariot and a bat swarm. It then happened that I was on school holiday,
and I noticed there was a campaign going on in
Games Workshop Exeter. I signed up and took my
army to battle, after buying a vampire count to
add some serious combat power. I did fairly well
considering I was a beginner, winning about half
my games, before getting knocked out in after six
weeks of battling. I continued collecting,
getting the new skeleton regiment, until in early
1999, the Vampire Conts army list was launched.
This menat I would loose my Chariots, Carrion and
Catapult, but that didn't bother em as I had some
more cool models to choose from. My Carrion was
replaced with Vampire Bats whilst my Chariots are
due to get replaced by a Black Coach. I have also
bought another vampire (Necrach) and converted
some Chaos Knights into heavily armed mounted
wights. Most recently I have brought lots of
zombies (the core of my force after skeletons)

| | Undead magic is pretty
powerful stuff, but don't be falled. Although
spells like Curse of Years and Wind of death may
look essental, your best bet is Vanhels Danse
Macarbre and Summon Skeletons. Your necromancers
can keep recasting these, making them an
essential part of Undead magic.
