Soultaker was formed in 2002 in East L.A. by founding members Valente (bass), Mario (rhythm guitar), Andres (drums), and Julian (vocals). Mario, Valente, and Andres had previous attempts to form groups that never seen the light of day. In all these attempts to assemble a band, a lack of a vocalist always held the group back. Finally, with the addition of Julian, the band was able to take form and present itself for the masses.

    Soultaker went through a lot of trial and error in molding itself and creating its sound. As a result of this process, Soultaker has added two more members to the line-up. In January 2003, Joel (keyboards) joined the band. This added a whole new dimension to Soultaker’s sound. However, the band felt it still needed more. Soultaker’s line-up was complete in August 2003 with the addition of Bono as lead guitarist.

    As for the bands genre of music, we leave it up to you. There is no set specific title or label to brand Soultaker. The band’s sole purpose is to bring it to you heavy and loud. It is very simple, either you like it or you don’t, but the more you sweat, the more you scream, the more we bleed.
