Biography

According to Wikipedia in 2001 Dave Moffatt came out as being gay to his family. He left home and did not speak to his father for over a year which is said to have effectively broke up the Moffatts as a band. He visited Australia and in 2003 posed for a photo shoot with Vancouver based photographer Mikel. He also made some home recordings of songs he had written. In 2004 he came out publicly in an article in the Winnipeg Free Press and for a short time hosted Karaoke at a gay club called Desire. In 2005 he made his professional theatre debut taking part in the Rainbow Stage's production of Miss Saigon. He also entered the talent contest Canadian Idol where he reached the top 32.
