Yup.  Well, co-master really.

Co-Master?

Paul Travers and I took over the Guild quiz in February '02.  We ran it together until the end of March the following year when he graduated.  Then Cathy took over.

Didn't you graduate too?  Why are you still here?

For reasons that do not need going into,  I thought it would be a good idea to do a PhD.

Ok.  Why do you repeat questions so often?

Because it saves thinking up a load of new questions every week.  It is also amusing to watch the newcomers puzzled faces when they hear a tenuous link for the first time.

Was that really B*Witched doing the version of Hey Mickey you play every week?

YES!  You really should watch Bring it On.  If only for the car wash scene.

Isn't that a film about cheerleaders?

Yes, it features Kirsten Dunst AND Eliza Dushku in skimpy cheerleading outfits.  Its also very funny.

That's my evening sorted then.  How many hours does it take to write the quiz?

A lot more than they pay us for.

Didn't you use to be in Café Connections?  Why the move?

For two years we were in Café Connections & Beorma.  Then the Guild decided trade wasn't big enough to keep both Beorma and Joes open on a Monday night.  Despite having the lower trade, Joes is the main bar so they have to keep that one open.  So Beorma as closed and we were moved.

I hear you don't do the quiz anymore.

You hear correctly.  The so called 'New Quiz' now takes place in the Guild, under whose command I do not know.  There was a little falling out between the Guild and I, after which I didn't really feel like doing it anymore.  Besides, how could I ever top END QUIZ?

Is that the one where people bought you lots of drinks and you started singing 'My Way'.

Probably.  My memory of the event is a little fuzzy.

If you don't do the quiz anymore, does this mean you have a load of t-shirts you can no longer wear?
