The Interlake Wild Boar Co-op serves to assist in both the marketing of wild boar and information exchange among producers. Monthly meetings allow members the opportunity to compare production notes, exchange ideas and determine marketing iniatives. The Co-op has undertaken product development research to produce jerky, pate and sausage. Products sold by the Interlake Wild Boar Co-op Ltd. are preserative free and available vacuum packed, fresh or frozen. The Co-op can provide wild boar by the piece or as whole animals to the general public and food service and retail trades. During the summer, large barbeques can be rented for preparing whole animals for family gatherings, community events or fundraisers. Co-op members also have breeding stock available. Any producer of wild boar can apply to join the Co-op. Accepted members must buy shares and agree to abide by membership criteria.
