Borgas kills self while catching in 'Hotshot'. Anomaly #2: Note the score to beat was set by Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland and the three-triangle arrangement. In previous series an orange background was used where the score to beat was achieved my more than one team. This fall caused significant damage to Borgas' person, as evidenced by the fact that he could hardly stand up or walk after it. Viewing this footage I was starting to think; "hang on, I thought they edited the mortal injuries out in post-production", and then, Lazarus-like, Borgas got up. |

This IAK freak went on to score FIVE points, while knowingly requiring only three to win. It is this sort of heroism that should fill our national 'legends' halls of fame. Anomaly #3: Normally six points in total are awarded per event (not counting Jokers), however the three-way tie for second position forced 'Hotshots' to become a seven-point event. This has implications for state point aggregates and the value of an IAK heat, particularly if two state teams were within one point of each other after the heats. Theoretically 0.66666666... points should have been awarded to each of the three teams, however this would have required considerable reconstruction of the scoreboard. One wonders if the IAK production team had contingency plans for these sorts of weird outcomes, or whether they decided on the spot what to do. I recall that in a similar situation the point distribution was 3/1/1/1 (sensible in some respects, but the winning team is unfairly penalised). These analyses could become too protracted... any input/opinions on this pressing issue are welcome (from you). |

Borg... I mean Gawler on 24 points after only five events. The previous record IAK score was 25 (Mt. Gambier/Stirling). 24 after five events is just phenomenal, in fact it is the maximum possible, barring anomalies (which exist in weird circumstances). |

'Queen of Hearts', basically an obstacle course in large dresses filled with massive tyre inners. This apparatus, recycled from obstacle courses such as 'Telephone Call' and 'Wildcat Gusher Gang' was tough enough for the guys even when they were relatively lightly dressed. |

It was yet another unduly cruel event, purely for our enjoyment. |

At least Cronulla (2) didn't have far to travel home. |
