Yoshi's Room
This green dino is Mario´s newest friend, he appears for the first in Super Mario World. With his long tongue he can eat almost anything, and if he eats the right thing he gets different handy abilities. Eat a blue Koopa shell and Yoshi can fly for a moment and a yellow shell causes Yoshi to cause small earthquakes as he pounds the ground. A red Koopashell made Yoshi breath Fire!
The first time Mario and Yoshi met was in Super Mario World when Mario and Bowser were only babies. In this game Yoshi and all his Yoshifriends must defeat Kamek the evil Magikoopa and his troops to free Luigi that Kamek has captured and to then return the Mario Brothers tp their parents in the Mushroom kingdom. He has appeared in numourus puzzlegames and has made some cameos in other games too. In Super Mario 64 he appears on the roof of the castle and gives Mario 99 Lives! what a pal!!! Now Yoshi has got his first own game, Yoshi´s Story for the N64 which takes place before all the other Mario and Yoshi -games on Yoshiisland.

In SMW there are some small Yoshi children that you must feed with a couple of enemies before they grow up the a big dino like Yoshi. Here is a list of them:
Red Yoshi
No matter what Koopa Troopa shells he eats he always can spit the enemy out in the form of tree fireballs!
Blue Yoshi
He always gets the ability to fly no matter what Koopa Troopa shells he eats.
Yellow Yoshi
He always gets the ability to produce a deadly cloud of dust as he "stomps" the ground no matter what Koopa Troopa shells he eats!
