In His Words
Here's a page still in its infancy but hopefully it'll grow up soon!

This is a page for pieces written involving principally snatches of lyrics from Don
McLean songs. The first example of this I remember seeing was on a now-extinct
Don McLean forum. On a thread asking McLeaners to write things they're like in
their own "DM Fantasy", taken from Don lyrics (a Renoir hanging on the wall, a
big stuffed tiger, etc.), Dave Fulton wrote a very funny little piece about a lady
painted white, provided she didn't leave chestnut hair all around the pillowcase!

Unfortunately the archives for that forum no longer exist, but this page presents
writings in a similar vein. I await your contribution, be it a few lines or a ten
thousand word thesis! It could be about anything, from fanfic about Don to the weather, from the story of your life to a rewriting of Aesop's Fables. Or else a
parody of any of his songs, like Liz Larabell's hilarious "Snowy, Snowy Hair"- see
below! Please email your own "In His Words" pieces to me at better_still at
yahoo.com - thankyou!
