Jack was sitting on Teal'c's bed now, the blanket over his lap as he stared at Daniel.

"If you knew all this about me, why did it take me to get things started?" Jack frowned.

"I wanted you to be ready to tell me. I needed you to tell me.." he said quietly.

Jack frowned. "Why? You enjoy being chased?"

Daniel shook his head. "Normally I'm the chaser Jack, but I figured that this was different. Same sex relationships.. and all. Fraternizing with a fellow officer.. all of that stuff. I needed you to tell me it was going to be okay.." he sighed, "that it was what you wanted..."

Jack got up slowly and went back over to him.

"You were worried I'd reject you?" he cupped Daniel's face in his hands while the younger man nodded. "Oh, god Danny.... " he shook his head and brushed his lips across Daniel's again.

"Jack.." Daniel touched him with trembling hands, " I've loved you for so long and I... " he stopped when Jack pulled back suddenly.

"You love me?"

Daniel nodded, suddenly afraid he'd said the wrong thing. Jack watched the younger man tremble and he lifted his hand up.

"You're trembling," he said. Daniel nodded.

"I don't know why.." he shrugged. Jack crawled into the bed with him and cuddled him tightly.

"You love me?" Jack whispered. Daniel nodded again then started trembling more. Jack pulled back.

"You feeling okay?" he touched his brow. Daniel shook his head as he laid down, Jack lying next to him.

"Danny?" his eyes were full of concern. Daniel touched his hand to Jack's face.

"Wait here.." he said when he finally pulled back then he got up and went to his back pack. He pulled out a small black zippered notebook and opened it. Four condoms fell into his hand.

"You were a boy scout?" Daniel smiled as Jack crawled back onto the bed.

"No, well yes, I was, but I started carrying these after the Kinthia incident.." he said. Daniel nodded.

"Those little buggers ate through rubber, if you recall.." Daniel said with a smile. Jack smiled.

" I was more thinking of the unsafe sex thing, I might have impregnated her.. or worse, given her an earth disease..."

Daniel frowned. "You got any of those?"

Jack smiled and shook his head. "Not according to Doc Fraiser.. why? Have you?"

"Nope, my tests are clean," he smiled. Jack smiled then bent down and kissed him tenderly as Daniel took one of the plastic packs from Jack's hand and broke the kiss to bite the pack open and spit out the torn bit. He and Jack smiled again then Jack laid on his back while Daniel knelt next to him.

First he touched Jack with his hand, causing the older man to suck in a sharp breath, then he bent down and gently kissed up the side of the erection, making Jack thrust and groan softly, his feet digging into the straw mattress as his groin lifted into the air slightly. She dived under the water again, unaware of the eyes on her from the near distant trees. The breathing from the shadows deepened as it watched her in the water.

Sam thought she heard a noise and turned around, suddenly nervous. She listened intently for a few moments then shrugged and continued with her enjoyment of the water.

The figure in the bushes released it's breath, thankful that Sam had not come out to investigate the twig snapping under it's foot as it moved to get a clearer view of her.

Sam swum over to the waterfall, pulling herself up out of the water with her strong arms. "I am sorry, I did not mean to frighten you," he said, holding her by her tiny waist under the water's surface.

She rubbed the spot on her head that hit the bottom of the pool as she fell in, then looked at him. "What were you doing creeping around here?"

"I was not creeping, I merely wondered where you had gotten to when you did not return to our hut," he said, unaware his fingers were tightening their hold on her waist.

"I couldn't sleep, what with those two at it... " she shrugged, finally finding the small egg shaped bump on her tender scalp. Teal'c nodded.

"I had the same problem," he said. She stopped rubbing her head and smiled at him.

"At least they're having fun, I guess..."

Teal'c blinked slowly. "They were not the only ones. When I came here I discovered a young Native watching your from over there," he pointed over to where he'd discovered the youth. Sam looked over there then back at Teal'c.

"So you weren't in the bushes then?" she frowned. The Jaffa frowned deeply.

"Why would I be in the bushes?"

She gave a slight laugh then nodded, "why indeed.."

Suddenly they both became away of his touch and she put her hands on his soggy wet vest and pushed back. Teal'c then felt the Goa'uld protesting to being under water for so long. He let go of her and left the pool. Sam frowned as she watched him on the shore, carefully pulling the Goa'uld from it's pouch. She watched as he bent over the lifeless white snake-like creature and without thinking, she headed out of the water and knelt next to him as he looked down at the soggy Alien.

"Is it alright?" she frowned as Teal'c's large hand massaged down the length of the slimy white body.

"It dislikes being immersed in water, it cannot breath," he said, then glanced at her kneeling next to him. She looked at him and he slowly lifted his eyes to meet hers.

"I'm sorry," she said. He blinked and clenched his jaw nervously.

"For what?"

"For falling in and making you come in and save me," she shrugged then pointed to the Goa'uld. "It's going to be alright though?"

Teal'c looked at the small creature as he nodded. "I will leave him out for a short while, allow him to dry."

"But you need him, wont you get sick?"

Teal'c shook his head. "I am able to remove him for short periods of time, for such things as bathing..."

Sam looked at the still creature then back at Teal'c. His large hand came up and cradled the side of her face gently as she nudged against it. His fingers gently dug into the back of her head as he pulled her closer to him, their lips meeting only briefly, before he pulled back and looked at her.

"You are incredibly beautiful, Samantha," he sighed softly. She smiled then closed her eyes as he came closer again for another kiss. They parted amidst breathless sighs as they stared into each others eyes.

"Think you can be without him long enough to join me in the water?" she asked softly. Teal'c looked at the Goa'uld then at her, a smile filled his face.

"I am certain of it," he stood and held his hand down to her. She got up and they headed into the water together.

She was worn out, but hoping to be wrapped within his large arms as she drifted off to sleep. It wasn't the way she'd envisaged their first time ending up, but she also had to be realistic. This might all be nothing more than the atmosphere of this world making them all do and say strange things. She pondered Jack and Daniel and hoped that it wasn't just one of those things that happened on a world only to be forgotten when they got back home.

As she drifted off to sleep she realised that the hut next door was quiet. Perhaps Jack and Daniel had finally finished and were now asleep.

Jack rolled onto his back as the light streamed through the rooftop, hitting him directly in the eye as he tried to sleep. He groaned and covered his face, then he felt something heavy against his arm. He looked down and saw the matted brown hair over his chest. He frowned and looked around himself, the hut was unfamiliar and he sat up with a start. Daniel groaned and flopped onto the hard mattress as Jack sat up.

"Danny..." Jack looked around then back at the man next to him. He frowned. Daniel was naked. He slowly lifted the blanket and realised that he was naked too. A cold shock filled the Colonel.

"Jack.." Daniel pushed up slowly then frowned as he realised he was naked.

"I'm naked?" he looked at Jack. "Why's that?"

Jack's mouth flapped open but no worlds came out as he shook his head. Daniel sat up properly then looked at the man next to him.

"You're naked too.." he said. Jack nodded then shrugged. He could hardly deny it. Daniel moved then winced.

Jack cringed too, as if understanding that feeling perfectly. "You sore.. too?"

Daniel looked up at Jack then screwed his nose up and nodded. Both men groaned deeply as they pushed their hands through their hair.

"What the hell happened..?" Jack frowned while Daniel bit his bottom lip.

Sam groaned as she rolled onto her stomach, her arm falling over a body next to her. She pushed up and looked at the sleeping form of Teal'c. Startled, she pushed up and away from him and he slowly woke up. Looking down at the front of herslef than at him she realised they were both naked.

"Holy Hannah.." she sighed. Teal'c's dark eyes opened slowly.

"Good morning, Samantha.." he smiled gently. She blinked quickly.

"Teal'c, what the hell happened?"

He pushed up then realised they were naked then frowned. "I went to sleep fully dressed, did I not?" he frowned. Sam nodded. She'd taken a dip in the pool then dressed and headed back to the hut.... Hazy images filled her head now.

"You came to the pool last night.." she said, reaching around to grab her clothing and she hurried to put them on. Teal'c diverted his eyes, despite it being obvious what had occurred between them the night before.

"We swam.." he frowned as if trying to dredge up a long forgotten memory.

Sam nodded. "We swam and then your Goa'uld got distressed and you headed out of the water... and then.. "he eyes widened as she looked over at him. He quickly looked at her.

"Capt'n Carter, did we...?"

Sam shook her had as she covered her face with her hands. "Oh.. my...." She sighed before running out of the hut.

Jack and Daniel were already outside, trying to get answers from the Villagers. Their voices were raised and they were clearly agitated.

"Ask to speak to that seer thing.." Jack said impatiently, waving his finger at Daniel now as he squinted behind his dark glasses, trying to block out the bright sunlight. Daniel sighed once more as he pushed his glasses back up his nose again, a fruitless effort as the heat of the moment and the warm sun coated his nose in perspiration and the frames kept slipping, adding to the young man's frustrations.

"Danny, ask if.. "

"I KNOW JACK!" Daniel finally snapped then gave him a quick look before turning to see Sam running towards them.

"Colonel!" she started yelling the minute she saw Jack. Daniel stopped talking to the Villagers as he watched his frazzled friend run over to them.

Jack put his hands out and gripped her by the shoulders. "Calm down, Captain, what's wrong?"

Sam gulped at the air then pointed back to her hut, both men turning to see Teal'c leaving the hut, pulling his vest on, then he headed away towards the water. Both turned back to Sam.

"Sam? What are you telling me?" Jack frowned, considering the state he and Daniel had woken in. She gave him a look that left him with no two qualms about what she was trying to tell him.

"You and Teal'c?" he screwed his nose up. Daniel blinked quickly as he looked over at Jack.

"Well, it's a little more believable than.." he waved his hand between himself and Jack now. The colonel shot him a sharp look then turned back to Sam.

"Did he hurt you?' he asked. She shook her head then shrugged.

"I don't.. I don't remember.." she sighed, her hand coming up to the side of her face. Suddenly a flash of him touching her cheek filled her mind. She jumped at the memory.

"Sam?" Daniel frowned. She blinked and looked at him.

Jack sighed then looked around. "Okay, obviously something happened here last night. We were all either drunk or intoxicated by something..."

Daniel vaguely remembered Jack mentioning a truth serum, but before he could say anything Jack had elbowed him.

"Okay?" The colonel asked. Daniel frowned.

"What?"

"What happened here.. last night. It *stays* here. We don't discuss it and it doesn't go on our reports, do I make myself clear?"

"I think we need to discuss it Jack.." Daniel protested but the steely look in Jack's eyes made him well aware that Jack wasn't going to discuss this with him. What had happened was obviously a big mistake, in the colonel's eyes, and he wasn't about to make things more awkward by recalling the actual event. Finally Daniel gave a feeble nod.

"Good!! Now for Christ's sake, find me someone who knows something about what happened here last night.." Jack snapped at Daniel. The younger man felt suddenly hurt by the raised voice, but he wasn't sure why. Regardlessly, he nodded numbly and headed into the nearby hut, hoping to find the seer.

Teal'c reentered the village and looked around. He saw Sam and Jack talking, the colonel had his hands gripping her upper arms while she stood, nodding at his words. He walked straight up to them and looked down at Sam.

"I wish to speak with you," he demanded.

"Now's not a good time Teal'c," Jack stepped between his officer and the alien. Teal'c tilted his head as he looked at his friend.

"I mean her no harm," he said. Jack shrugged.

"Probably not, but it would seem that we're all acting against our usual manner... I think it's best that you and Captain Carter wait a while before discussing this, perhaps even until we get back home.." he turned to look at Sam, "things might look a little clearer then."

Sam looked at Teal'c and could see in his eyes that he wouldn't hurt her, but she agreed with Jack. She needed to get home and see Janet anyway, because now was not the best time for her to be having unsafe sex. She was already getting flashes of their love making and it filled her with a strange sensation so she knew she needed to get a few things sorted out before confronting the Jaffa with her true feelings.

Daniel had some success in locating the seer, or rather the seer's son, who was also gifted.

"Can you tell me what happened?" Daniel asked. The young man, roughly Daniel's own age, looked at the blue eyed stranger.

"You were all given some fruit, do you recall that?"

Daniel nodded then they both looked up as Jack entered the hut. Daniel patted the earth next to him and Jack sat down.

"We're discussing the fruit.." Daniel filled him in. Jack frowned as he started to recall something about fruit....

"The fruit has differing levels of what you would call truth serum," the green eyed seer explained. Daniel quickly glanced at Jack from the corner of his eye then looked at the seer again.

"Truth serum...?" he mumbled, again vaguely recalling Jack mentioning something about truth serum last night, right before they...

Jack clicked his fingers just as Daniel was about to recall a memory, "you're giving us some.." the colonel nodded, suddenly recalling it. The seer nodded.

"You are correct. That is where my father is at the moment, off overseeing the removal of some fruit for you to take back with you when you leave."

Daniel looked at Jack but as soon as the colonel looked at him the shy man looked away, fully recalling a piece of what went on between them the night before.

"So we were given truth serum, so why do we feel like we've been hit over the head with a heavy mallet?" Jack asked, rubbing the back of his head as he spoke. The seer shrugged.

"Perhaps it is a side effect of the serum," he said. Jack rolled his eyes.

"Maybe the serum doesn't work on us?" Daniel frowned.

The young seer looked between the two men, sensing a huge amount of confusion and regret from both of them. Then he quickly scanned both minds and sensed a deep need from them both for him to tell them that the serum didn't work.

"Perhaps you are correct," he nodded.

Jack looked at him. "Yeah, perhaps it drugged us, so that we didn't know what we were doing? What do you think about that?" he snorted angrily, trying to find some logical explanation that might have been acceptable to Daniel.

The younger man bit his lips together worried by Jack's anger and concerned that he was about to do something rash. The Seer turned as if Daniel had said something aloud and Jack frowned.

"You reading our minds now?" he asked. The Seer shook his head.

"No, we were asked to refrain from it around the visitors, I am sensing a lot of confusion and.. regret.. however.." he said.

"Regret? Oh, ya think?" Jack snapped as he headed off. Daniel frowned as he watched him go then he looked at the young seer again.

"Regret, huh?"

The seer nodded. Daniel pondered that thought as he wandered away, and the seer was saddened that they were inhibited and unable to express their true feelings, despite the obvious truth. He turned to see his father return with some fruit and tree samples and hurried over to him.

After explaining about the confusion, the older Seer had gathered the visitors together.

"We are happy to give you our fruit, however, I am concerned about the reactions you have had. For our people the serum is short lived, wearing off after a brief time, and there are no further effects felt from it. It would seem that the fruit has affected you differently."

Jack scoffed and nodded. "Seems like it," he sighed. Daniel looked over at Sam who was studying the dirt by her feet.

"I am not of their world, why would I be affected in the same way?" Teal'c asked. Sam looked up then met Daniel's gaze.

The seer shrugged. "I am unable to tell you that. Perhaps we survive on the fruit merely because it suits us perfectly.."

"One man's pleasure is another man's poison?" Jack asked.

"Err that's one man's pleasure is another man's pain, Jack," Daniel said.

"I thought it was one man's trash is another man's treasure," Sam suggested.

The colonel stared at them then shrugged. "Whatever," he said. Daniel nodded.

"May we take a few samples with us anyway?" Sam tilted her face to look at the Chief. The older man nodded.

Jack nodded then got to his feet. "Okay troupe, I think it's time we were getting home..."

Daniel went to protest, but knew it was feeble. There might have been other things they could discover, but he realised Jack needed to get his team home, so that they could all try to get over what had happened on this world. They all got to their feet and started gathering their packs up.

"Where are our clothes?" Jack asked.

The Seer shook his head. "The Chief had me destroy them..."

"They are the property of the US Military.."

"Jack," Daniel sighed then patted his arm. "I don't think they care.."

Jack shot his companion a quick look then shrugged. "I needed a new one anyway.." Sam bent her head as she concentrated on packing her pack up again. She looked up when she felt someone staring at her. It was Teal'c. She swallowed then gave him a small smile before looking back down at her work.

They were a sullen party as they headed back to the stargate. Teal'c at the rear, Jack leading with Daniel and Sam in the centre talking quietly together.
