Studland Beach Review

Studland was the first Naturist beach a went too, and probably because of that is my favourite. It is one of the largest and most popular naturist beaches in the UK, and is regularly patrolled by the national trust who own the beach. I have been there five times, Three in 2000 and twice in 2004. During the visits in the 2000, the beach was very crowded, with a wide range of ages, most of the people seemed to be families with younger children. There was also the normal mix of couple and singles, I don't remember a large amount of single males, but I didn't go into the dunes.

During my return visits in 2004, the weather was slightly more changeable, and inconsequence the beach was less crowded. But it still had a good mix of families, couples and singles.

The beach itself is gently sloping with fine sand, and backed by dunes and a heath that is also available for naturist use, as long as you stay within the infamous posts that define the naturist area.

Leysdown Beach Review

I would call Leysdown my local beach, it still takes me almost 3 hours to get there by public Transport from London, but its quiet and generally has a relaxed feel. I have not been their in the last year or so due to the closer of the Strood Tunnel. Like Studland the Beach tend to have a good mix of couples, singles and the occasional family.  I have never had any problem with the people there. It will probably be the first beach I go to when I finally pass my driving test and we have some good weather in the UK.

The beach is clean, sandy and the people there nice,. The tide goes out a long way at low tide, so if you that way inclined you can have a long walk out over the Mud. I am not sure how safe that would be.
