The Les Mis Conspiracy OR
Why the Barricade REALLY fell...

It began one fateful day when I was watching the Tenth Aniversary Concert at Prince Albert Hall. I noticed two members of the ABC Cafe exchange a nod. And the revolution has never been the same...

The real story:

Citizen Chaullins was in desperate need of catching the Pimpernel. Jane promised some extra help... if he could manage to bring down the second French Revolution...

Chaullins met secretly with the leader of the ABC Cafe, Enjolras was his name, and gave him a secret drug. He told Enjolras that the drug would make him and his men extra strong, their eyesight better, and would help all around in their effort. He quickly agreed. He told Marius of this drug, but no one else. They would both secretly sneak it into the wine at the barricade.

(Watch the 10th Aniversary Concert: Towards the end of "Red and Black", you can see Marius turn to Enjolras with a look of "Did you get it?" Enjolras nods. The camera pans away. When it returns, Enjolras pats Marius on the back and I SWEAR puts something in Marius' pocket...)

However, Jane is not completely content. She gets to Inspector Javert.

(10th Anniversary: Watch the hair. That's all I have to say...)

Marius tries to keep Eponine from the barricade, but she gets into the wine. He sends her away under the guise of bringing a note to Cosette, but the drug has taken it's toll. She is now throughly depressed and dies of the Miracle-Gro upon returning to the barricade.

Upon her death, Marius begins to worry, but Enjolras reassures him that it couldn't be the drug that killed her.

(10th Anniversary: Watch Enjolras as he comforts Marius after Eponine dies...)

The boys have their wine. Marius rests, not wishing to get drunk. He intends to take his Miracle-Gro a little later. However, Jean Valjean suspects something and steals Marius' Miracle-Gro. (And you wondered how Marius survived the barricade)

Inspector Javert is now completely delusional and scared. His hair has changed color, his side burns are frizzing out, and Jean Valjean has eluded him. There is nothing for him to do, but jump into the river.

Meanwhile, Marius recovers slowly, wishing to know who it was that stole his Miracle-Gro and saved his life. He also mourns his friends' deaths, knowing that he was partly responsible. Poor Marius. You gotta feel sorry for the guy with that much on his shoulders...
