The Muppet Babies/
Rebecca Conspiracy
If you ever saw the made-for-TV version of "Rebecca" (a novel by Daphne DuMurier) with Emilia Fox, (Minette) you'll understand this.
This version is the first, and to my knowledge only, version to show the first Mrs. DeWinter aka Rebecca. However, in this version they never show her full face. They only show her eyes or her lips or her back, but never all at once.
This creates a very spooky effect, but there is also a reason behind it.
The real Rebecca DeWinter was deathly afraid of showing her face.
Seeing all the balls and parties she had to go to with Maxim, she got in contact with Jane. Jane promised to make her disappear and take her somewhere safe, if Jane could get Maxim, Mrs. Danvers, and anyone else she could on Miracle-Gro.
She easily got Mrs. Danvers (This explains so much!), almost got Maxim, and got her cousin. This was enough for Jane and, leaving a box of Miracle-Gro for Mrs. Danvers to tempt the new Mrs. DeWinter with, Jane made good on her promise.
She made it seem that Rebecca had died, then escorted her to a wonderful land where nobody would ever see Rebecca's face.
All they would see is her legs, covered by hideous green and yellow striped stockings!
That's right, she became the nanny on "Muppet Babies", a kid's cartoon.
She has lived there happily for many years.
