Stephen Barnett
JAVA - The story of the East Indiaman by Stephen Barnett

The author, Stephen Barnett is a graduate of the South Australian Institute of Technology, with a Bachelor of Arts (Library Studies).

He has been involved in genealogy since 1979 and became interested in the "Java" whilst preparing a family history. Mr. Barnett's ancestors, the Crowle family arrived on the "Java", from Penryn, in Cornwall on February 6th 1840.

Mr. Barnett is married to Pamela and has two sons, David and Hugh and says he enjoys living where his "family roots (in South Australia)" are, in the Northeast suburbs of Adelaide.
