"It had a certain 'Ray Bradbury' quality to it... with a Christian application, of course. I found your attention to detail impressive, too."
- Eric
"The story was simply wonderful. I thought Richard Stark was a well-defined, real character, and the plot was absorbing and interesting. Since you did such a thorough job of setting us up for a holo disaster, I was prepared to scream in frustration at an inevitably obvious ending. Happily, this wasn't the case."
- Lynda
"I like the 'Twilight Zone'-esque twist at the end, both from
a literary and spiritual standpoint. It speaks volumes into the
state of a lot of contemporary churches."
- Carl
"I thought Doppelganger was marvelous, tragic and beautiful."
- David W.
"It seemed to get better and better. The last 2 paragraphs of the story were brilliant!! As I was reading, through part 2, I was vaguely reminded of the style of Isaac Asimov."
- Donna
"Today I had the pleasure of listening to your audio reading of "Doppelgangers". What a great piece of work!!! I thought it was a superb spiritual-sci-fi alchemy, and the twist at the end truly caught me off-guard. Great job!"
- Dave S.
"Doppelgangers was awesome. The story (which was detailed so finely I could see everything happening) hooked me and kept me reading right until the end. And what an ending! The story was convicting and real."
- Lance
"Aside from intrigue, the story was very well written. I especially liked the "drop" at the end. Nice job."
- Brian
"Wow. This story really grabbed me. I never would have
guessed the ending and I was pleasingly surprised.
Very enjoyable!"
- Deanna
"Doppelgangers was great. I've been to small town churches where, given the technology, this seems all too likely! Nice message woven into an enjoyable story. It perfectly accomplishes the goal of Christian writing. Entertaining and edifying."
- Jude
I liked the story very much for its vivid language using metaphors and
similes and describing nearly everyday situations. As my pupils liked
it as well, I hope they will use it to improve their expressive
capacity, someting they are lacking considerably.
