What some readers have said about Golgotha:

This seems like a water-torture of sorts, dripping little bits out on me at a time. You entirely have me in your writerly grasp, and I’m desperate to know what happens next for the very reason that I have no idea. I keep thinking I know where you’re going and then you zig or zag. I know, patience is a virtue, but come on!

I especially like the element of suspense and the way you build it up, slowly but logically. I get a good sense of character, particularly from Jackson and Ramon. I also like the dialog -- it feels real. It fits the intelligence/education level of the characters and I can tell a difference when each speaks, not to mention that people really speak that way. Great job and please keep it up. I really like seeing fiction written by a Christian that can hold its own against popular non-Christian work.

I'm an avid reader of Christian Fiction. I find your work compelling and filled with intrigue. Finish Golgotha, please. I'm looking forward to what happens and how it ends!!!

I was hanging on the edge of my seat. You really captured the moment and made it real. I could almost feel my skin bloat and my eyes unfocus from lack of air. I really loved some of the similes, "unconsciously tugging at his open collar like a boy noosed with a Sunday tie."
- Tom

And finally, here is my favorite:

My husband copied chapters 1 through 11 of Golgotha from the internet for us to read. I have been reading them aloud to our son (9 years old). It has been with great disappointment each night that we have to stop reading because "it's time to turn the light out and get to sleep!" We are so engrossed in the story -- and we were horrified to find we have to WAIT for the twelfth chapter! We love the story-- it is very well written and definitely holds our attention. We are anxiously awaiting the Final Chapter and some answers.

Those included here were selected because, in one way or another, they shed light on what I was trying to accomplish in this story. Hopefully these reactions will help others to determine if this is a story they would enjoy.
