Whitehaven

Whitehaven was built from 1859 to 1865 by Edward L. Anderson who was a tobacco dealer and landowner. Abandoned in 1968. Years of neglect and vandals took their toll and the house was destined to be destroyed. Restoration began in 1981 and finished in 1983. Today Whitehaven is a welcome center.
