I See Right Through You
Hearing footsteps you'd assume
that someone was coming after you.
And if left alone for an instant,
you'd flounder with no one left to cling to.

You spurn all the boys
who don't meet your standards;
you seek the more exotic type
(the more exciting breed of trash).

You need all your petty problems
to keep from feeling worthless -
just another cranky little brat
all mixed up, with delusions of purpose.

You must think you can take a stab at anyone
and not get hit back hard.
If you're such a fragile little flower
Then you never should have started.

I'm not after you.
I don't even see you.
There's nothing left in you.
I see right through you.
