This has led to a massive tapping up scandel in the newspapers and Jones is reportadly suing the Guardian over remarks made about him and his close relationship with Chinky "quagmire" Brophy. Barcelona, Milan, Kilcommon were all believed to be interested in the big man, but it was the thought of endless tequilas and a seat around the much coveted Barrel of Laugh's that is believed to have swung it for Jones. Harty Confirms Jones interest. The Newtown manager has confirmed his interest in Ardcroney defender Jones. It is believed that Jones is very close to signing a precontract subject to medical, which will bring him to the club in June. It will be a 1 year deal witht the option of an extension until 2008. Jones said in a recent interview that he has visited the club and was very impressed with their personal and their aftermatch drinking habits.
