Summary: Continued from "The Kid Stays Out of the Picture". Will and Grace still aren't talking, and it's driving Jack and Karen nuts. So the duo decide to for a plan to get Will and Grace back together. This plan involves getting them together at a birthday party for Joe and Larry's daughter Hannah.
Of course, the minute the two former friends see each other, they swap insults, then attempt to avoid each other for the rest of the party, focusing their energies on convincing Joe and Larry that they are the better person to remain friends with. Their fighting eventually leads to Hannah's cake falling to the floor and Joe and Larry taking the kids to the deli while Will and Grace decide to leave.
But Jack and Karen, still trying to work their magic, steal Will and Grace's bags and toss them in the bounce-house. When Will and Grace go in after them, Karen and Jack zip the door shut and refuse to let them out until they're friends again.
Now Will and Grace face each other and tell the truth. Will tells Grace how hurt he was that she chose a potential relationship with Leo over having a child with Will. Grace tells Will that she wanted to find out if the relationship could work out. Again the two start fiighting over which is more important. Grace asks Will if, after 15 years of friendship, is this is the end and he says nothing.
Grace prepares to leave, but just when you think all hope is lost, Will quietly wishes Grace luck with Leo. He tells her that he hopes the relationship does work out, and soon the two are apologizing and hugging...well, trying to at least. They end up bouncing and falling down instead.
Quotes
WILL: I brought a present, too. [WILL HOLDS UP HIS ENVELOPE]
GRACE: What is that? Your phone bill?
WILL: It's a panda.
GRACE: Oh, God, not the endangered species thing again? You remember what happened when you gave that to your nephew at Christmas? Where's my panda? Where's my panda? I'll tell you where your panda is, kid-- in China.
WILL: It's educational.
GRACE: It's stupid.
WILL: Like--like a Barbie in a string bikini is such a smart gift. Why don't you just wrap a ribbon around bulimia?
GRACE: A doll cannot cause an eating disorder. Nothing is that black and white.
WILL: A panda is.
Did You Notice...
~Joe and Larry's daughter, Hannah, seems to have grown up awfully fast. In season 3, she was just a baby. Most of the kids at her birthday party seemed to be least 4 or 5.
~Will has a fear of spiders.
~Grace mentions Will's nephew, who is the son of his brother Sam who, up until the season 1 episode "Big Brother Is Coming", Will had never met due to an estrangement with Sam.
