OUR FAMILY WHO PROUDLY SERVED
Our family is rich with its military history and we love America and all it stands for. This page is made to be a tribute to all our family members who have served their country proudly.
Francis Allen and Wilson Blaine
This photograph was graciously contributed to us by a dear
friend and Blaine cousin, Sue Davis. Her description of the photo and
our GGGrandparents appears below.
The Ammons/Blaine Family
Thank You, Sue- October 30, 2001
This picture came to me courtesy of Ila Sue Cook, a descendant
of Silas Blaine, Wilson's father. It was a snapshot of an old
photo and I don't know who owns the original.
I am presuming that this is a wedding picture. Francis and Wilson
were married on 03 November, 1851 in Macon County, North Carolina
by Justice of the Peace, John McDowell. Their marriage bond is dated
01 November, 1851, Record # 01 001 and Bond # 000076884, witnessed
by T. P. Siler.
I was
able to obtain the following rememberance for my paternal
Great-Great Grandfather,Wilson N. Blaine., for his service in the
Civil War.
