DANCE NOTATOR
Do dancers really have that great memory to remember all the famous (old and new) ballets as well as some that are currently choregraphed on them? Yes, dancers are known for their fantastique memories and dances were originally being handed down by generations.
There are ways to record dances and it's the dance notator's job to do that. The most famous ones are the Benesh and the Labanotation. They are a bit complex and takes time to learn. Some choreographers prefer to work with a specific dance notator who would travel with them wherever they go to choreograph. Some companies have their own notators who would be present when the choreographer choreograph and write down notes and make the final master score.
