DANCE NOTATOR
I found this in the book The World Of Ballet by Judy Tatchell
Many companies record their repertory in notation. Reading and writing these scores is a specialist job. Ideal qualities for a notator are a methodical mind, a good background in movement and dance, and a knowledge of ballet in particular.
Those who wish to become notators need to study at an organization such as the Benesh Institute or the Labonotation Institute. Once qualifies, notators are in demand all over the world and may often take on the role of ballet master or mistress, or reprtiteur. Some choreographers have particular notators who they prefer to work with. As a choreographer's assistant, a notator may be expected to help restage old ballets.
