CIRCLE TIME
Hunt the eggs ouside if you can and inside if you must. Read
The Great Easter Egg Hunt .
Kids love lifting the flaps to find the eggs. And
The Easter Chicks.
I made a flannel board story
about Mrs. Easter Chicken.
She eats way too much and gets stuck on her nest. Every one
tries to help her get off
in time for Easter!
Bring country eggs (brown)
and store eggs (white) to circle time. Discuss the differences
in color
and size. Let kids crack the eggs to see if they are different inside.
Country eggs are darker yellow. Discuss yolks and whites.
Check local farmers for turkey eggs.

They usually love to bring one in to show the kids.
Find someone who has chicks too!
Make easter cookies letting the kids do all but the cooking part.
Kids really do well if given a chance.
Show pictures or cutouts of rabbits, eggs,
chicks, baskets, easter grass, etc... Discuss the things we
see at easter. Let the kids
tell something they know about Easter.
Cut different egg shapes out of flannel.
Large, Middle size and
Small. Use on a flannel board to count and learn sizes.
Count white cotton balls.

Have each child take turns with an Easter basket finding the
color of their choice.

language.
