P

Page - servant of Tirian. In The Last Battle, the page brings Roonwit a bowl of wine.

Panther (1) - one of Jill's many rescuers when she emerges from the tunnel which leads to Underworld in The Silver Chair.

Panther (2)- one of the first Talking Beasts of Narnia. In The Magician's Nephew, he figures that the children cannot be the Second Joke because there is nothing funny about them.

Patterwig - a talking red squirrel. Patterwig is used twice as a messenger in Prince Caspian. When Caspian is introduced to the old Narnians he delivers news of the Council at Dancing Lawn. Is also sent to Lantern Waste for the possible return of King Peter and his siblings at the blowing of the Horn of Susan.

Peepiceek - the second in command of the talking mice of Narnia. In Prince Caspian, it is Peepiceek who declares that if Reepicheep could not have his tail, then none of the others would keep theirs. It is because of Peepiceek's words that Aslan restores Reepicheep's tail.

Pennyfather, Adela - one of several bullies who sees Aslan's back when Jill and Eustace return to England in The Silver Chair. Terrorized when she is whipped by Jill with a riding crop.

Peridan - courtier of King Edmund in The Horse and His Boy. Responsible for taking Shasta from the streets of Tashbaan after Edmund mistook him for Corin.

Pevensie, Edmund - second youngest of the four Pevensie children. Known as King Edmund the Just. Betrayed his brother and sisters to the White Witch in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Destroys the White Witch's wand at the Battle of Beruna. Helps establish the reign of King Caspian X in Prince Caspian. Sails aboard the Dawn Treader with sister Lucy and cousin Eustace in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Travels with sister Susan to Tashbaan while she was being courted by Prince Rabadash. Killed on railway station platform in The Last Battle.

Pevensie, Lucy - the youngest of the four Pevensie children. Known as Queen Lucy the Valiant. The first of the four Pevensies to enter Narnia through the wardrobe in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Helped establish the reign of King Caspian X in Prince Caspian. Sailed aboard the Dawn Treader to the end of the world in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Killed in railway accident in The Last Battle.

Pevensie, Peter - The oldest of the four Pevensie children. Knighted Sir Peter Fenris-Bane by Aslan in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Reigns as High King with brother Edmund and sisters Susan and Lucy. Known as King Peter the Magnificent. Establishes Caspian as King in Prince Caspian. Killed while standing on rail station landing in The Last Battle.

Pevensie, Susan - second oldest of the four Pevensie children. Known as Queen Susan the Gentle. Reigns with brothers Peter and edmund and sister Lucy in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Helps establish the reign of King Caspian X in Prince Caspian. Travels to Tashbaan to be courted by Prince Rabadash in The Horse and His Boy. Refuses to marry Rabadash. Is no longer a friend of Narnia in The Last Battle.

Pittencream - the last of the sailors to take the opportunity to sail east with Caspian in The Voyage of theDawn Treader. Is left on Ramandu's Island while the remainder of the crew sails to the world's end. Was picked up on the return voyage but abandoned the voyage at Lone Islands and went to live in Calormen where he told false tales of his adventures at the world's end.

Plummer, Polly - first human to venture into the Wod between theWorlds in The Magician's Nephew. Travels to Charn with Digory (Professor) Kirke. Is partially responsible for bringing Jadis to England out of Charn. Witnesses the creation of Narnia by Aslan. Flies with Fledge and Digory to the Western Wild to retrieve an apple from a tree there. Returns to Narnia in The Last Battle where they join the other faithfuls in the New Narnia.

Poggin - a dwarf who, in The Last Battle, leaves the dwarfs and joins Tirian in rebellion against the ape's rule. Poggin fights in the last battle and is presumed killed or cast into the Shrine of Tash.

Pole, Jill - is called into Narnia for the purpose of rescuing Prince Rilian. Is given this task by Aslan in The Silver Chair. Succeeds in rescuing Rilian and sees Aslan's country before leaving Narnia. Is killed in British railway accident. Returns to Narnia in The Last Battle to rescue King Tirian from the Calormene invaders. Fights alongside Tirian in the last battle before being cast into Aslan's country where she remains.

Porter - giant who allows Jill and Eustace to enter Harfang in The Silver Chair. Gives Puddleglum a type of liquor which causes him to become drunk.

Preston, Marjorie - schoolmate of Lucy Pevensie. Badgers Anne Featherstone into saying that she was not Lucy's friend in The Voyage of theDawn Treader. Lucy witnessed a conversation between Preston and Featherstone while looking for a visibility spell in a magic book on the Island of the Dufflepuds.

Prizzle, Miss - teacher in a girl's school whose class was visited by Aslan during the liberation of Beruna in Prince Caspian. Miss Prizzle and most of her class screamed and ran at the sight of Aslan, Bacchus and the others.

Prunaprismia - Queen of Narnia under Miraz the Usurper in Prince Caspian. It can be assumed that she either returned to Earth by the doorway provided by Aslan or she remained in Narnia as a normal citizen.

Puddleglum - a marsh-wiggle. A very somber but wise guide to Jill and Eustace in The Silver Chair. Is personally responsible for breaking the queen's magic in Underworld when he destroys the fire which burns an enchanting fire. Greets the children upon their entrance into the New Narnia in The Last Battle.

Pug - leader of a band of slave dealers in The Voyage of theDawn Treader. Captures Caspian, Edmund, Lucy, Eustace and Reepicheep on Felimath. Is put out of business by Caspian, who abolishes the slave trade in the Lone Islands.

Puzzle - the innocent and not so clever donkey who is dressed in a lion skin and presented to unwitting Narnians in The Last Battle. Is received into the New Narnia where he lives happily.
