Dark Info

General Purity

Pure Dark Dragons are the cream of the Southern royalty. These are the up and coming dragon types that have been favoured by evolution to have it all. They're powerful, dark and cruel. They prey on the weaker Southern Dragons and love to get into battle with the Northern Dragons.
But with all this beauty, power and intelligence comes a price to pay. The D1 Dragons are always carefully watched, the members of the same type spy on each other and wars among themselves are common enough to not let a week go by without a disturbance.

Types

1. Demonic
Appearance: Demon Dragons are red-tinted dragons with claw-like feet and Y-shaped horns. When they're born their wings are completely intact. The older they get the more tears will appear in the wingsails until finally only shreds remain. By this age they will have aquired the willpower needed to levitate without wings. As time proceeds demons become quite adept in using magic. Unlike the Dark Magic Dragons they will not openly display their knowledge though. After all it's better to use your advantages in secret.
Personality: Demon Dragons are the royalty of the Southern Continent. Stopping one of them when it has made up his mind would take more than a considerable amount of strength. They are cocky, strong, stubborn dragons that will only submit to the most powerful minds. If the bond does not possess this strength of mind, they will often lose their freedom and become a puppet for the Demon to control.

Type: Spirit

2. Dark Magic
Appearance: Dark Magic dragons can certainly be called beautiful, even if they live on the dark half of Lyria. They still closely resemble their Northern Spirit cousins with their lean build, facial, arm, leg and wing tattoos and their generally harmless appearance. They have two sets of bug-like wings that allow them to hover with the utmost precision where they want to. Most noticeable about them however, is the piece of thin cloth that winds around them. It is said that that cloth holds incantations and that the longer it is, the more powerful the dragon.
Personality: As their name suggests these dragon are magic users. And they like everyone to know that they're special. They go out of their way to look mysterious, dangerous and suave. A bit unusual for dark dragons is that these gather in guilds and sometimes are more loyal to these guilds than to their bond (which can be a pain for the bond, but you know, unions...). Young Dark Magic dragons are often taken in by an older one as apprentices, and even the odd Voodoo can become a student should there be a shortage. Of course, compensations are expected for this ;)

3. Reaper
Appearance: Reaper dragons forebode little good. Their skeleton-bodies, long cape and sharp scythe - rumoured to be cut out of the bones of the first creature they kill - are frightening enough, but the truely horrendous part of their appearance are their midnight black eyes that follow you around yet don't appear to be able to see. It is uncertain if Reapers eat. They kill sure enough, but are never seen carrying something back to their lairs. Rumours - again only rumours since few people dare venture close - say they feast on the souls of the deceased.
Personality: Reapers are secretive, shy dragons. They love to live in the shadows, observing, killing and not be seen while doing any of it. Bonds to these dragons are sworn to secrecy about certain issues concerning their lives (?) and habits. Little is known about their characters, the one thing for certain is that these dragons do seem to get a kick of just about anyone clearing the shadows when they pass.

Type: Fire

4. Seducer
Appearance: Seducers are antro-dragons with a very interesting physique. Foremost they aren't very evil-looking from up front which would challenge their high status. However, when taking a closer (sideway) glance, you can see that first looks are deceiving. Though they look sweet and charming, almost lost between the other Southern dragons, they actually posses some weapons of their own. They have long straight horns portruding from their head as well as from their wingsails. They also have a very nimble scorpion tail they use to kill trusting humans that walk into their trap.
Personality: Seducers were enigmatic for a long time. Basically no-one knew why they wished to kill humans, after all Seducers don't like to eat human flesh so it seems kind of pointless. A short time it was thought that they were reincarnations of entities violated in a previous life who had returned to punish their assailants. Now however, all that psycho-babble has been thrust aside favouring the new hypothesis that seducers are just stark raving lunatics with an unusual hobby to pass the time.
Size: Small to Medium
Type: Air

5. Chaos
Appearance: Chaos dragons are large sea creatures that live in the Wild Sea of Lyria, they are extremely strong and agile, not unthinkable since they have to survive in such unruly waters, riddled with whirlpools and rocks. For camouflage and stealth movement, these dragons have only dark grey colours that make them very hard to spot in the dark half of Lyria. Because of their leanness they are agile swimmers, cleaving the waters with their ridge of razor-sharp fins and thrusting themselves through every obstacle without hesitation with their tail and forefins.
Personality: Chaos dragons are einzelgangers, almost never talking, not with their bonds nor with others of their species. All of them is focused on surviving the waters and growing stronger, stronger and stronger until the day they might reign supreme in the seas of Lyria... erm, that is classified information, disregard please. Though silent, they don't give off an aura of hating other dragons and/or humans, they just seem to be the kind of dragons that don't wish to explain their actions.
Size: Large
Type: Water

6. Goat
Appearance: At first, the notion of a dragon species called 'goat' dragons isn't very scary. But it should! Goat dragons are evil to the core. Their chocolate brown skin blends with the grey, beige and brown colours of dried and rotten grass. Their claws are steadfast and sharp. They come fully equipped with as many as 15 horns, all of which a potential origin of pain. Last, but not least, these dragons are so frightening that part of their face is covered by a pure black metal mask. Though not by far the largest dragons on the Southern continent, it's best to not cross paths with any of these.
Personality: Not only are goat dragons frightening in appearance, they're also rotten in character. Beside themselves they care for nothing. They're primal in nature, choosing fast satisfaction to devious, long-strecthing strategies. But don't be fooled, these dragons are far from stupid. They just like to maim and kill too much to try and reign in their urges.
