Dragon
Info
Lyrian dragons can vary in size from
small to large. This is a trait specific to the kind and is not changeable
(except for the turtles who grow their entire lives). They learn to talk
verbally at a very young age and may even be able to speak immediate at the
hatching if the eggs were exposed to a lot of talking when they hardened.
Lyria (and with it the dragons) is divided into two regions. The
North and the South.
1. The North
There are Five regions on the Northern continent of Lyria.
Each region has it's own special kind of dragons. Each kind has 6 types. For
the quick counters amongst you that makes 30 different dragons.
In addition to the normal first gen dragons however there are possibilities
of mutations and crossbreeding that can lead to new exciting breeds.
It is a known fact on Lyria that only the spirit dragons can mate to
whatever dragon they want. These special, and possibly oldest, types of
dragons are very conservative and will not often mate with dragons outside
their kind. On top of that, it will take a considerable amount of effort for
the pair to be approved by the leadership as these mixed breeds often prove
to be too weak to survive.

Lyrian dragons mate for life.
Parents can have as much as one clutch every three months, but new parents
will get priority when the sands are filling up fast. Everyone deserves a
chance.
Clutches will range from 4 to 10 eggs. In every clutch there will be an
equal possibility of mutations, but these eggs might vanish if the right
bonder doesn't appear.
2. The South
On the Southern part of Lyria things are a bit more chaotic than on the
Northern part. Though the 5 main Northern kinds of dragons are still
distinguishable, they are not prohibited to mate to one another. They will
never mate with their Northern cousins however.
Not all these dragons are equally evil. It are these general lines of
darkness that keep some boundaries on what type of dragon can mate with
which others. Indeed, not paying heed to these unwritten rules, one of the
mates might end up as lunch for the other.
It is not always clear why a dark
bonder gets the dragon he or she bonds. Only the dragons know why they pick
the humans they do.

Dark dragons mate for life and will
occasionally be very affectionate to their mates. Every couple can mate once
every three months, unless there are a lot of pairs applying, then the new
couples will get priority.
Clutches will range from 4 to 10 eggs.
