Earth Info
General
Earth dragons don't have wings. But
they have 4 legs that sometimes have claws. They all live on the ground, in
different habitats. Most live in groups, but their have been examples of
real loners amongst the Earth dragons.
Earth dragons are all rather shy. They are camouflaged to not draw the
attention in their own environments and this is how they like it. Low
profile.
Earth dragons are mostly
vegetarians, but they won't object to some
occasional meat in their diet. They don't get fish as a meal however so
never try feeding them that, they might spit it out right into your face
;).
Earth dragons can use the magic of the earth to battle. They can control
everything that is linked with the earth. Large groups have been known to
cause earthquakes to defend themselves.
Types
1.
Desert
Appearance:
Earth or Desert dragons are usually brown.
They have a small
horn growing out of their head that they use to defend themselves against
enemies. Their back
is protected by a ridge of sharp points and their tail is armed with an
arrowpoint. These dragons are equipped to defend themselves against things
much bigger than themselves. Strangely, they have no natural enemies.
Maybe they all starved to death?
Earth dragons are skilled survivors. They can live on dry
earth, though they prefer some occasional
meat
and
vegetables
in their diets.
Personality: Desert dragons live in
group. They enjoy large dry warm places (e.g. the desert). They dig large
holes to live in and to play with their young. They are rather shy dragons,
but if their children are threatened they will attack.
Deserts like to mingle and have parties. They want to know all there is
to know about any given person they have met. They don't have
acquaintances, only true friends.

2. Hedgehog
Appearance:
Hedgehogs, like the creatures they were named after,
are covered with spikes. They range from black to deep brown and their eyes
are red. The red eyes give them a really dangerous look and not many
creatures dare to come close enough to touch them. If they would, they'd
know the spikes are really soft and don't really sting.
A Hedgehogs idea of a good day is to spend it laying on a sunny secluded
patch with enough grass
to nibble on for an entire day.
Personality:
Hedgehogs are really friendly dragons caught in
the mind of a paranoid individual. It takes years before a wild hedgehog
trusts a human. Even when they fully trust their bond they tend to have
secrets from him or her.
Hedgehog dragons are very silent and reserved in public and will only
show their true feelings in places they feel comfortable in. They need
very patient bonders with a love for set habits and routines.

3. Salamander
Appearance:
Salamanders are small green
dragons that are very fast. They have a light green skin with darker stripes on their back for camouflage. Their paws are padded, so they can
scuttle away over dry leaves without making a sound. Salamanders also
have large adaptable ears on their head, they can fold them together or
stretch them wide open to hear with the accuracy of a radar. (They kinda
look like that really cool creature from Jurassic Park 1, you know, the
one that killed the guy at the end *evil grin*)
Personality:
Salamanders are secretive dragons. If you tell
them a secret no-one will ever know about it. They love to keep these
little facts and absolutely love to gossip about everything they feel
they are free to talk about. They love to gain knowledge so it isn't
strange that most salamanders live around the Glade, working in the
library and stealing bread and pies
from human kitchens for their coffee-chats.

4. Forest
Appearance:
Forest
dragons are green with darker leaves and small brown branches on top of
their head and back. Their tail and neck is hidden behind yellow leaves.
Their eyes are an innocent blue that reveals the true feelings of these
dragons. They can't keep secrets, nor can they lie about what they are
thinking.
Forest dragons live deep in the forest, in glens and valleys protected
from the outside and it's dangers. They graze grass
and eat the young leaves
of trees when they are hungry.
Personality: Forest
dragons are a calm and absent-minded breed. They don't much care about
what is going on in the rest of the world as long as their little spot
in the forest is ok they're happy.
Forests like running and dashing through the large fields in the
valleys and often play between the safety of the hills that are the
old remnants of mountains that once covered the entire Northern half
of Lyria.

5. Flower
Appearance:
Flower
dragons are very brightly coloured dragons with flowers and leaves
covering their heads and tail. They can come in all colours of the
rainbow and are often multi-coloured. The brighter they glow the
healthier they are.
Flowers live in the flower fields at the edges of the forest and around
the Temple Park. They have a power of illusion that allows them to move
unseen through the flowers, to blend in with the surroundings to protect
themselves against danger.
Flowers live of the pollen
that fly from the flowers and from the nurturing rays of the sun
that are caught by their leaves.
Personality: Flower
dragons are sweet and gullible dragons. They are a bit cautious at
first meeting. When you walk through the flowers, make sure you don't accidentally
step on one and never take one. If you do it right and show no sign of
evil they will come before you can blink your eyes, appearing out of
nothing.
Flowers live in symbioses with Butterfly dragons. Flowers can ensure
the flowers stay healthy, but they cannot do the same to the flowers
they bear with them. The butterflies clean them and nurture them,
spreading the seeds so new flowers can sprout. Without this service
the Flowers would die very soon.

6. Mountain
Appearance:
Mountain dragons are small
versatile creatures. They have a light brown skin and are protected by
sharp grey ridges on their backs. They have powerful gripping
claws at their paws that enable them to climb mountains and unstable
grounds in record time.
Mountains have two big blades, one on their head and one on their tail,
these are razor sharp and are used when in danger. Their charge-attack
is infamous.
Personality:
Mountain dragons are peaceful grazers
that live at
the edge of the forest. They enjoy climbing the mountain and are often
seen wandering in group.
Occasionally the young ones go out into the mountains looking for
greener pastures, but they can't stay away long from their friends and
family.
Family is an important part of the Mountain's way of life. It is duty
to protect the members of your group, even after they have bonded with
a human or a mate from another pack. Since most of the mountains are
in a way related there are never real troubles amongst them.
