Water Info

General

Water dragons don't have wings and, except for the water dragons, they don't have arms and legs. In stead they have flippers!
The Lyrian Water dragons (as well as their southern counterparts) dwell in the great ocean covering the planet. These gentle dragons mostly live in group, hunting and playing together. In summer they are seen all along the coasts of the Northern continent, but in Winter they migrate to the warmer equatorial seas.
Water dragons have a way of willing the water to do their bidding. If trained properly they can outskill a Spirit that had the same training because the Water dragons know the spirit of the sea.

Types

1. Water
Appearance: Water dragons are sea-blue in colour with green accents. They are long and versatile with a paddle like tail they use for attaining high speeds under water. In stead of hair or crest they have a large head-fin that cleaves the water when they swim through the sea. As said before they are the only water dragons with limbs.
Water dragons are highly intelligent. They have been known to set big traps to catch
small fish and other tasty marine food.

Personality:
Water dragons are very friendly and peaceful. They have a 'Don't worry, Be happy' attitude and need bonders with a good view of what the future might bring. Many a Water has found him/herself in trouble because they didn't think ahead. Waters are very trusting and can be hurt immensely (more so than the others) if you abandon them.

Dolphin dragons are very large grey dragons. They can swim fast currents without much problems and like to show off their strength. Dolphin dragons are always happy. 3. Turtle
Appearance: Turtle dragons, like real turtles, are greenish with a camouflaged hide and a tough shell. Like turtles their shells consist of layers of extra thick hide that makes them nearly indestructible.
They are the strongest amongst the water dragons, even overpowering the large seaweeds. It is not uncommon that they break rocks and enlarge cavern entrances to find their favourite food:
shrimp and oysters.
Turtles have very distinctive eyes. They are deep orange, filtering light to make the underwater world look like a sunfilled day. Their golden eyes also show a strange intelligence. A knowing perhaps. They are not very talkative so it is uncertain if they are just good guessers or really do posses a knowledge of the future.
Personality: Turtle dragons are shy at first contact, but you can always win there trust by offering them some nice vegetables. They are always hungry and like sunning on river rocks. When you scare a turtle dragon they will hide quickly under there indestructible shell.
Turtle dragons come ashore to lay eggs. They swim upstream into the broad rivers and spend their summer in the shallow water. In Winter however, they migrate as any water dragon.

Size: Medium (can differ depending on age and care)

4. Coral
Appearance: Coral dragons are very small and fast, making them ideal to roam through the reeves and hunt for the small coral-eating parasites that like to destroy their habitat.
Coral Dragons are covered in some coral-like texture and come in a range of different colours, ranging from Tropical Orange to Icy Blue and Deep Lavender. It is not uncommon for sudden strange colour mutations to appear.

Personality: Coral dragons like to be in the centre of attention. As their colour suggests they are almost always happy and can often be found playing hide and seek in the great reeves around the Northern continent. Coral dragons almost always live in group. They easily become sad when they are alone. Corals are very curious and often get in trouble because of it.

Their eyes are a very bright kind of cyan that can pierce right through water, they have an excellent sight. The webs on their head and their paddle-like tail are marine blue. They are picky eaters, only eating the best food in the sea. The best fish, the best seaweeds, etc.

Their eyes a brilliant yellow, the same yellow that blooms on their large seaweed-like tentacles when a female is pregnant. These seaweed tentacles aren't real seaweed. They are however close enough to the real thing for small plankton, their favourite food, to live in it
Personality: Seaweed dragons were the last water dragons discovered in the great ocean. There size enables them to live far under the surface in the almost black sea where they like to hide posing as seaweed. They were only discovered after years of legends of giant dragons living in the sea, when somebody finally went out to look for them.
