Earth Mixes

When some dragons mate they tend to create some rather peculiar offspring. On this page you can see what you can expect from clutches.
In all there are three mixed breeds that have been spotted in the forests of Lyria. It is unknown if others exist, or if they'll ever step forward.
If two mixed breeds breed (is this still making sense?) there will of course be mixed breeds, but also any other dragon type that can have this type of breed as an offspring. Not all dragons resulting from a mix breeding will be mixed breeds by the way, there will be some dragons resembling the parents as well.

1. Sandstone (Desert Rose)
Appearance: These sand-coloured dragons live in the desert like their cousins the Desert Dragons. Like the stone they were named after they display a ridge of thin layers of hardened skin that at their tail join together to form a flower-shaped structure. Sandstone Dragons mostly feed off sand and rock, crushing it with their strong jaws when necessary. The more minerals a stone possesses, the more nutrients it has for a Sandstone. Thus they're often used to find gems and precious stones.
Personality:
Sandstones are laid back dragons that live in  herds. They generally are peacefull, choosing to quietly enjoy the scenery and daily life over more active ways of life. They are loyal and dependable, trying to live to bring happiness to as many beings as possible. They value life beyond all, most likely because of their habitat where greenery and abundance are rare.

2. Chameleon (Rainbow Snake)
Appearance: Chameleon dragons are very eyecatching dragons since they shift colours constantly. These colours can't have evolved for camouflage because they are too bright, more likely they slowly grew because, let's face it, anything this bright can't possibly be dangerous, and even the most determined evil character would stop in wonder to gaze at the overabundance of colour these dragons emit. Aside from their colours, Chameleons look very cute, with large hindlegs and shorter front legs, giving them a rather helpless, clumsey look.
Personality:
Chameleons or Rainbow Snakes may look innocent and cute, but they still ave their own character that can be quite difficult to live with. They are rather stubborn and at times lazy, preferring to, like real reptillians, stay out basking in the sun in stead of going out and (gosh no!) walking. They can come of as quite sarcastic and bad-tempered, especially in the morning when absolutely nothing is safe from their scorn.

Size:
Medium

3. Mouse
Appearance: Mouse Dragons are small dragons with very large round ears and a long agile tail. They have very little fur, which isn't needed anyway in the moderate forests on the Northern continent of Lyria. They have very soft paws that are easily hurt on rocky surfaces, but are good for running on mossy ground. Their small frame makes it considerably more easy for them to get around in denser forests, places where they for obvious reasons like to hide.
Personality:
Mouse Dragons are shy creatures that aren't often seen. They like their privacy and usually build nests underground to shelter them from wandering eyes. They live in extended families, sometimes tunneling elaborate cave systems far below the forest surface. Wild Mouse Dragons seldomly mate with another type of dragon but the Mouse Dragons bonded to humans don't seem to as cagey as their wild cousins. Larger dragons do still seem to scare them though.

Size:
Small
