Emacs is the greatest editor in existence, as PerAbrahamsen once said ins his EmacsDefense. Note that certain heretics claim that Emacs has strayed from TheTruePath. Not true!

Some of the stuff I wrote for Emacs:

SQL

• Emacs:SqlMode (sql.el) -- specialized comint.el for SQL interpreters

Colors

• Emacs:ColorTheme (color-theme.el) -- install color-themes, quick and easy
• Emacs:AnsiColor (ansi-color.el) -- translate ANSI into text-properties
• FaceList (face-list.el) -- improve face customization

Fun

• Emacs:EmacsRobots (erobot.el) -- a game where players write EmacsLisp functions that compete in a simulated arena
• Emacs:TypingOfEmacs (typing.el) -- a game where the player has to type words as fast as possible. Great for practicing your speed typing!
• FortuneCookieFunction -- start your Emacs session with a fortune cookie

Mushing

• Emacs:MushMode -- play on a MUSH or MUD within Emacs

Emacs Lisp

• EvalInComments -- eval a sexp within comments

Hypertext

• Emacs:WikiMode -- easy hypertext authoring the wiki way

HTML

• HtmlQuote -- quote HTML within HTML
