Embraced

Desire cannot touch this
Longing can be a thousand miles away
Affection may take a wrong turn
But my love, oh my love persists through

Can you feel it pulsing
Wishing on a star and believing in more
No matter which way or how hard the wind blows
It remains strong, burning brighter evermore

Grace is mine to have and forgiveness is yours to hold
The two things our hearts cry out for in surrender
I long for yours and you long for mine
Peace waiting to be grasped and embraced

After all the promises have been washed away
And after all the 'should have's and 'could be's are said
I trust in what will be and where it guides me
Where home is found and love collides with you.
