They were not swept away with the evening tide
This pulsing heart of mine
Truth known but quieted with the duration of time
Permeated every shadow
Illuminating a soul just waiting to be released
And suddenly I could feel so much
Unbeknown to myself for so long
Until it formed a voice in the rhythm of a song

And it feels good to be honest with myself...again.
Making paths across my cheeks
Feeling understood by a hand that does not make me feel weak
And I think you see it for what it is
Words are not needed, this simple action lets you know you were missed
