Finish Line

Slow and steady wins the race
Whispered to me, I hear
Slow and steady wins the race
Each step felt agonizing
Still all the while soothing
And now I know why
Because slow and steady wins the race

I never put two and two together
That He was using a line we so believe in
One that we draw comfort in
Slow and steady wins the race

I feel closer to the finish line
And I don’t have to rush to get there
I just like hearing the sound of your voice
Saying softly
Slow and steady wins the race
And I echo lovingly
Slow and steady wins the race.
