Golden

I figured this might need a little disclaimer to clarify the "you" in the poem. Let's just say this is me telling Satan to go to hell. I'm tired of him trying to hurt me and those I love.

You can't have it
This golden thread holding it altogether
You can't sneak it away
I won't allow you even a single glance

You attempt to break it
But I'm stronger than before
I know your fight is pointless
You don't know when to let go

It's beautiful
This love traveling along
It's unbreakable
Even if you win one battle
It's simply wonderful
More amazing because He's behind it
This strand can't unravel, it's a promise I hold onto
A promise far beyond any dream you break into
Any piece of my heart you crash through
Because it heals me through it all
And helps me to hold on when the rest of the world crashes and breaks.
