Hymn of Surrender

This silent space
Slips into a hymn of surrender
A mad dash of hope
Crashing into the quiet
Wishing to be heard

A precious tone
Drifting between the walls
Constructed so efficiently
So destructively
They have no place here

This tender beat
Commands a sway of these hips
Rattling the cages
A collapse for the ages
Beautiful surrender
I surrender

Trickling down this way
A waterfall on the brink
Of amazing
Anticipating colliding against
Shifting everything so it sparkles new

Where a silent space
Becomes a stomping ground
For declarations of hope
Cries of the heart allowed to run
Echoing out in the open
Tireless in the safety of Heaven’s arms.
