How’s tomorrow?
It could be any day of the week
How’s a month from now?
Or maybe a year from today?
The time does not matter
I know it’s not me

I can start making the drive that soon
I’d jump on a plane, do anything, fly to the moon
A single minute is just enough time
I hope by saying this, I’m not falling out of line
Whatever length of time you seek
If tomorrow’s too soon, we can wait some more
No period of time could match all the befores
This heart remains steady and strong
Hoping maybe someday won’t be too long...
Give us some time to settle in
Remember and feel the love burning within
I could light a spark beneath you
Let the belief flow through you
This may not be our time and that’s okay
Because I can’t get my heart to stop by then
I realized somewhere along the way that it’s never going to weaken
It burns for you, quietly and patiently
Someday’s whenever you want it to be
I’m ready, willing, in every way you could conceive
But I’m understanding now... it’s not about me
I can feel the love you have for me – the heart does not lie
But I feel the terror coursing through and can hear your sigh
So I take your hand and gently squeeze
Then let go and step away until you’re ready
I’ll be here, you’ll know where to find me
And only then, my true love... come to me.
