Intoxicating

There's a chill in the air on this summer day
One that makes me pause in front of my clothes and evaluate
I pull out a turtleneck I haven't worn in months
And as it goes over my head, the scent grabs me at once

Intoxicating, invigorating
I know this combination of Mountain Spring and April Fresh
Embedded in my soul, it entices my heart
As a sigh rushes out of my chest

I go through the day
And you're constantly warming me
Inhaling deeply and closing my eyes
I feel like the rain has turned into a sunrise

It's so amazing
How just one sense can enliven all the rest
This is what you do to me
Your scent captures and frees me
Inspiring love to flow and simply be.
