Where you can be who you are
Or travel to the highest of extremes-
So I can watch you while I sleep
And still see that smile directed at me
Beyond the promises we keep.
Journey into my head, my heart
Realize how much your hopes match mine
How I wouldn’t even want to spend this sacred time apart.
I want you close, I want you near
I want you to stand by and watch us
To see how much I hold you dear.
Have no shame in understanding the way I behold you
How I bask in the opportunity to just talk
The way my eyes sparkle when you utter those words only you do
How I enjoy the giggles, delight in the laughter
How there is magic in the air
The way every moment with you is sought after.
With the fantasy
With the reality
Everything inbetween
With all you have seen...
Notice how your head is still upon my breast
Having listened to my heartbeat and what’s inside-
You now know what I keep within this treasure chest.
With the lifting of your head and a steady gaze into my eyes
