Pursued

Tugging and pulling
On this weary heart of mine
Stretching and bending
With every little sign
Is this the way that you break me and mold me
Into something more than me
'Cause if it is, can it all be over on the count of three

Twisting and turning
Genuine smiles get mixed in with the pain
Calling and fading
How I long for a soothing dose of rain
Just a moment away from the waiting
The persistence, the patience, and every misstep in-between
Is it too much to ask to feel love pouring down on me

Pursued I am by one that sees so much more
Able to let go of the guilt that caged me before
But with every mountaintop comes a downhill climb
This is where I walk till you show me glory sublime
I long for glory around the corner
You promise glory around the corner
And I say glory around the corner
When they ask me why.
