Steady Me

An urgency inside my heart presses me forward
It's undeniable in the way it moves this step and the next
I can't deny the fact that this pulse drives me
Pounding in my veins again, it demands of me
One more little step, little step
Toward you
One more little breath, little breath
To steady me so close to you

The air is pressing in around on all sides
It's amazing how something so weightless cannot hide
The truth that I want to breathe you in and in again
It feels so good to have you against my skin
And I fly straight to you
Just to try to capture you

How can it get so quick, so thick with just the thought of you
Entranced I am at the notion of catching just one glimpse
Of that soul that breathes beneath your eyes
It captures me every time
And there's simply no way I couldn't let you in
I want to let you in
So I fly without abandon to you
And I hope you'll capture me too

Just one little step, little step
Toward you
One more little breath, little breath
To steady me so close to you.
