The Distance

I see the question in your eyes
You’re searching mine
Looking for the truth in me-
Are you all that I see?
Will you believe?

“Will you go the distance with me?
Or is it make believe?”
Look into my eyes
Then you’ll find your paradise

And you’ll walk with me that day
Down the road to our life
In the spring rains of May
I’ll keep you dry and safe
As I make you my wife.

You’ll be warm in my arms
There you won’t find any harm
I’ll wipe your tears away
When I find them on your face

I’ll be everything you need
I’ll fulfill your every dream
Just take my hand -- I’ll lead
We’ll dance the nights away
Down the purest of streams

It all starts with one kiss
A true moment of bliss
When you bind your heart to mine
Our souls intertwine

And we become one with Him
A three-cord strand
Our love will never dim
We’ll walk the path of time
Us three hand in hand

Our love will never end.
