There Really Was No Choice

There really was no choice
Except to watch my heart soar
Or silence my own voice

There was nothing she could do
My heart was being forced
To believe she could be you

But it was all a lie
Just something to get me by
It didn't hold a candle to you
When the night was through
The fire still burned for you

Your voice made me believe
There was something sincere
When you said you still loved me

Everything I'd held inside
Was pouring out of me
I no longer wanted to hide

You brought me out tonight
You made me want to fight
The voices cannot have me
For my heart has been set free

Now I'm flying higher than I ever could
I'm going to fly to you, believe I would
Tonight, all I want is you tonight
In the candlelight
It's so beautiful and right

There really was no choice
My heart sang
At the rise of your voice

My love, the choice was always you.
