The next day we visited Schloss (Castle) Neuschwanstein. This was one of the castles build by "Mad" King Ludwig II of Bavaria. He was declared mad so that the citizenry could force him to stop spending Bavarian marcs on his castles. He lived in this one only 172 days before was was exiled and found drown. In remembrance of Ludwig II, Berke & I tried on some German hats while we waited for the ride up the hill to the castle. |
